Claremont parents clash over kindergarten Thanksgiving costumes

LA Times

For decades, Claremont kindergartners have celebrated Thanksgiving by dressing up as pilgrims and Native Americans and sharing a feast. But on Tuesday, when the youngsters meet for their turkey and songs, they won’t be wearing their hand-made bonnets, headdresses and fringed vests.

Parents in this quiet university town are sharply divided over what these construction-paper symbols represent: A simple child’s depiction of the traditional (if not wholly accurate) tale of two factions setting aside their differences to give thanks over a shared meal? Or a cartoonish stereotype that would never be allowed of other racial, ethnic or religious groups?

Obviously yet another example of Political Correctness BS run totally amok.  So appropriate for California, the land of Fruits and Nuts where every fruit is a little nutty and every nut is a little fruity.  I wish CA would either secede or slide off into the Pacific.  Nearly everything bad in America starts out in California, and particularly in San Francisco, the Sodom of the US.  This is with apologies to those of you who have to reside in CA.

Malkin: Playing Games At Gitmo

By Michelle Malkin
November 26, 2008

The human rights crowd is right: Life is hard for a Guantanamo Bay detainee. The deprivation is unspeakable. According to the facility’s “cultural adviser,” their brains have not been “stimulated” enough. So this Thanksgiving, America is drawing up plans to provide the 250 or so suspected jihadists at the “notoriously Spartan” detention camp with basic sustenance including, as reported by the Miami Herald, movie nights, art classes, English language lessons and “Game Boy-like” electronic devices.

Next up: Wii Fit, Guitar Hero, Sudoku, People magazine and macrame. Anything less would be uncivilized.

Well, on the good side, then at least Hussein and his idiot cronies might actually see the light and do the right thing for once.  On the bad side, they will be turning around and doing the exact same thing they have cursed and vilified the Bush administration for doing all along, hopefully unmasking them for the hypocritical bullies that they are.  On the other hand, that might not be so bad if it wakes up a few more people to what huge liars, con artists, and hypocrites the Hussein machine has been all along.  In any case, I really, really hope this comes true, so I don’t have to lie awake in bed at night worrying that a terrorist released by Insane Obama is going to nuke my hometown while I try to sleep.

As to the liberal fools and idiots whining about the treatment at Gitmo, it is better than the US just taking them out back and shooting them, or beheading them like the terrorists do to US or other Western captives.  It is just like in the present supremely messed up judicial and social system of the US courts where the criminal has more rights and defenders than the victim.

Despite what the bleeding heart libs say, Bush has done the US and the world a great service by keeping these potential terrorists out of circulation all these years so no further mass murders or acts of terrorism could be done or coordinated by these detainees.

Despite Bells and Whistles, ‘Office of President-Elect’ Holds No Authority

Fox News

President-elect Barack Obama is looking very presidential these days. When he makes an announcement, he is ringed by American flags and stands behind a lectern that has a very presidential-looking placard announcing “The Office of the President-Elect.”

But the props are merely that. Under the Constitution, there is no such thing as the Office of the President-elect. Technically, Obama will not even become the president-elect until the Electoral College convenes after the second Wednesday in December and elects him based on the results of the Nov. 4 general election, as stated in the Constitution.

So what is Obama’s executive authority in the weeks leading to Jan. 20?

More

Let the bozos who gave millions to his election farce, I mean campaign, some illegally, some not, pay for his transition, not the US taxpayer, who is already going to be milked clean when this jerk officially gets in office.  His campaign can afford it.

GOP senators hail Obama’s economic team

The Hill

Senior Senate Republicans who battled former President Clinton on budget and tax issues are applauding the return of his economic team to President-elect Barack Obama’s White House.

Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.), a leading congressional Republican on economic issues, lauded Obama’s appointment of Timothy Geithner as Treasury Secretary and Lawrence Summers as head of the National Economic Council.

Summers served as Treasury Secretary and Geithner also worked at Treasury during the Clinton administration, when the nation saw booming economic growth. Geithner served under Summers as undersecretary for international development.

More

I swear the more I read and hear about the idiocy of some of, if not a lot of, high ranking Republicans the more ashamed I am, both of them, and to be associated with them.  I really, really wish there was a viable alternative to the Republican Party for conservatives more and more each day.  These jerks disgust me.  With them in charge all we are is Dimocraps Lite, or junior partners in the Dimocrap Party, not an independent, opposition party.  The way things are going I might have to seriously consider my affiliation with what might appear to be a truly dying party, like the Whigs.  Is there a better alternative?  Let me know if there is and I’ll definitely look into it.

Either that or we need to kick nearly every single elected Republican out of the party and start over again from scratch at the grass roots level.  I can’t abide leaders like these for very much longer.

Scalia Says Original Intent is Making a Comeback in U.S.

Scalia Says Original Intent is Making a Comeback in U.S. – By Kevin Mooney, Staff Writer

(CNSNews.com) – Anti-democratic judicial activists who place a premium on abstract notions of “human rights” at the expense of what constitutional texts actually say are spreading abroad at a time when U.S. courts have begun to re-discover “orginalism,” Supreme Court Associate Justice Antonin Scalia said in a speech Saturday.

The idea that laws have fixed meanings that transcend generations has gradually been restored to a respectable station in the academic community and in the judiciary, said Scalia during the closing session of the Federalist Society’s annual meeting in Washington D.C.

MORE

“U.S. courts have begun to show some improvement”?

Well, if he says so, OK, I guess, but I sure haven’t seen it from reading or watching the news.  They must be keeping it one big secret.  If anything all I have seen is it leading further away into judicial activism and constructivism, almost like a landslide or an avalanche bulldozing its way downhill completely annihilating everything originalist in its path.  And with no bright future for a reversal ahead.

Steele: Reports of GOP death exaggerated

Politico
Michael Steele

Sure, Republicans have had a hard couple of elections. But you’ll excuse me for suggesting that reports of our death have been more than a little exaggerated.

In fact, the electorate shifted only about 4 points from Republicans to Democrats since 2004. That year, George W. Bush took 48 percent of the vote against Barack Obama’s approximately 52 percent in this election. Now, don’t get me wrong, that 4-point shift produced the best vote tally for a national Democrat since Lyndon B. Johnson.

But the admittedly major defeat for the home team that resulted from a mere 4-point shift need not send Republicans to the locker room just yet. The fact is that despite dire predictions to the contrary, turnout in 2008 was about the same as it was in 2004. The real problem was that Republican turn-out pitched down while Democrat turnout surged.

More

Yes, we need desperately to get rid of the RINO’s and moderates who have poisoned our party for so long, or else we will die.  However if Steele means what he says, I would follow him out of the wilderness.  But first excommunicate the moderates and RINO’s or it will all be in vain.

Sowell: Ivan And Boris Again

By Thomas Sowell
November 26, 2008
There is an old Russian fable, with different versions in other countries, about two poor peasants, Ivan and Boris. The only difference between them was that Boris had a goat and Ivan didn’t. One day, Ivan came upon a strange-looking lamp and, when he rubbed it, a genie appeared. She told him that she could grant him just one wish, but it could be anything in the world.

Ivan said, “I want Boris’ goat to die.”

Variations on this story in other countries suggest that this tells us something about human beings, not just Russians.

More

I love Sowell, he speaks the truth and tells it like it is.  Every word is pretty near gospel truth and just exudes relevant wisdom.  I have been reading him for years, well before I came to GOPUSA.  He is a talented writer.  I wish he would run for a national office.  I would vote for him in a heartbeat.  He would’ve made the best first African-American president, he or Clarence Thomas.  Not this loser, Insane Nomama.

Romney Prescribes Tough Love for Detroit

ABC News

Back in the Republican primaries, when Mitt Romney staked his campaign’s prospects on victory in his native Michigan, he was a loud voice calling for Washington to save Detroit.

“The question is, ‘Where is Washington?’ ” Romney said outside a General Motors plant in January. “Where does it stop? Is there a point at which someone says ‘enough’? Or are we going to allow the entire domestic automotive manufacturing industry to disappear?”

But now, with the Big Three automakers lobbying Congress for a bailout that executives say is needed to keep the industry alive, the former Massachusetts governor is prescribing a tough love approach to the industry he grew up in.

Romney is strongly opposed to the auto industry’s request for $25 billion in low-interest loans. He is calling for management shakeups inside the companies as they engage in extensive economic restructuring, and is recommending bankruptcy or similar legal arrangements for America’s auto giants.

More

The only “cure” to save the US automakers is to do away with their unions’ entitlements in the form of unreasonable and irrational demands on the automakers.  90%+ of the automakers’ problems are due to the unions and their costs dragging the industry down.  If the greedy, corrupt, out of control union members want to keep their overpaid, little-work jobs they need to make some SERIOUS reductions in their pay and benefits.  Otherwise with their exorbitant demands they will bargain themselves right out of a job.  If they won’t concede considerable amount of ground in negotiations to get US automakers’ costs back down in line with non-union foreign companies, GM president Wagoner should go ahead with his threat to pull an Eastern Airlines and shut it down and liquidate.  I’d love to see the UAW members and the Dimocraps crying about that one.  The ONLY viable alternative is to go Chap. 11 and nullify the ridiculous union contracts and start over at scratch, and let the companies and the workers come together on a much, much more reasonable playing field equal to that of the foreign companies that make cars domestically.  And if the overpaid, corrupt, bloated, self-serving unions don’t like it, they can go get a job somewhere else at a fraction of what they were overpaid at GM, Ford, and Chrysler and let them pay for their own benefits like the rest of working America does.

Legislating Immorality

National Review Online

Last week in a Denver suburb, someone lit a Book of Mormon on fire and dropped it on the doorstep of a Mormon temple, presumably as a statement about the church’s support of Proposition 8 in California, an initiative that amended the state constitution to define marriage as the union of one man and one woman. In a move that may make gay-rights supporters’ heads spin, the incident is being investigated as a hate crime.

The outbreak of attacks on the Mormon church since the passage of Proposition 8 has been chilling: envelopes full of suspicious white powder were sent to church headquarters in Salt Lake City; protesters showed up en masse to intimidate Mormon small-business owners who supported the measure; a website was created to identify and shame members of the church who backed it; activists are targeting the relatives of prominent Mormons who gave money to pass it, as well as other Mormons who are only tangentially associated with the cause; some have even called for a boycott of the entire state of Utah.

More

While it is certainly fair to say that the Mormons have taken the undeserved brunt of the gay fascists’ rage, it is also important to point out that the hate and violence has not been confined only to them.  There have also been targeted attacks against Christians, Catholics, evangelicals, and so on.  It is already a war between the rabid gay radicals and Christendom in general  Previously it was a war of words, ideologies, courts, but now it has escalated violence, terrorism, vandalism, and intimidation on behalf of the intolerable gays.  But are we prepared to fight?  Onward, Christian Soldiers!  Having just read the book of Revelation, I firmly believe the “Latter Days” surely are already upon us.

Is America Headed for a new Civil War?

Almost immediately after the 2000 elections, the hard core liberal left mantra was President Bush was “Not my President”. He was illegitimate because of the Florida “hanging chad” counting debacle. After the 2008 election, most conservatives are hoping President “Not In My Pay Grade” does a good job. An interesting dichotomy to say the least.

Liberals went on the radicalistic Alinsky attacks to marginalize President Bush. 9-11 temporarily put it on hold, but once the shock passed, they resumed their attacks with even greater fervor. The Iraq War and Global Warming were their attack du jour mechanism.

Is President “don’t have a copy of my birth certificate” our legitimate president? I have no idea. However, I have to wonder given the tactics and strategies of the left if we should use a similar approach until he produces verifiable proof of his citizenship. Do we stoop to their level? Do we employ the same slash and burn policies to slowly change public sentiment of our President Elect? Damn the torpedoes; full speed ahead?

We are already an extremely divided country. Given the proclivities of this liberal president, he may take us into a civil war if he is not careful. Liberals have been ratcheting-up their attacks with their emboldened sense of entitlement to force their ideology on us all. Americans are arming themselves at a record rate, and the proverbial straw that breaks the camel’s back is somewhere out there for conservatives.

God help us if we do!

I have been thinking this exact thought for years actually but was afraid to put it in writing for fear I would get censored, so I’m glad Steve had the guts to put it up in the air.  We already are in a civil war, and it was one of words, ideologies, political parties, and court fights, until Prop 8 passed in California.  Now it has already devolved into hate, violence, vandalism, and intimidation, and we did not fire the first proverbial shot, the out of control, rabid, gay radicals did.  If you don’t think we are under attack, ask those who have been targeted, the Mormons, the church in Michigan, the lady in Palm Springs, the list is near endless.  If you don’t think our God-given, US Constitution-guaranteed rights are under attack, you have not been awake for the past few years.  Especially with Hussein and the communists/socialists posing as Dimocraps in charge now, conservatives, Republicans, and Christians could be an endangered species.

My grandmother, who is 90 or so, told my father years ago, and he relayed to me that she said there WOULD be another civil war but it would not be between states or north and south, it would be between black and white.  I think she was wrong about the opposing camps but she was right about the sure-to-come civil war.  The only exception being that it will be between liberal and conservative.  The gays vs. Christians is only the first, opening skirmish.  If the violent, radical gays succeed in trampling down the rights of conservatives and Christians, stifling, silencing, and marginalizing us, and making sure that the Constitution is overthrown along with the right to vote, voice of the people, and rule of law, it will only embolden other attacks on the right and Christians in general.  We have to draw a line in the sand and take a stand.  If we fail here, it will be like the domino effect.  A little bit here, a little bit there, until soon you wake up one day and it is all gone.  It might be too late already to salvage it.

That being the case, the next question to be answered would be what to do about it?  After you draw the line in the sand and make a stand, how do you defend it?  The question was posed, do you stoop to the tactics of your enemies in the name of self-preservation?  Can you lower yourself to that level if the alternative is extinction?  It might come to pass that that choice must be made and who will have the courage to make it?  It might be our only alternative to survive.

I believe that a people can only be pushed so far, like pressing down on a mattress or an inflated ball.  The ball reaches the point where it physically cannot be pressed down anymore due to the internal pressure that has been built up, and then it either presses back against that outside force and rebounds or it explodes, releasing all it’s pent up energy.  I think that is what we are really headed for, that breaking point, that critical juncture.  What will be the “straw that breaks the camel’s back?”  That I am not sure but I do certainly feel the gay attacks after Prop. 8 are just the opening salvos in the coming war.  I’d bet money on it.

‘Twelve Days After Christmas’ parody song hits sour note at Plano middle school

07:44 PM CST on Tuesday, November 25, 2008

By STEVE STOLER / WFAA-TV

PLANO — You know the song — from the “partridge in a pear tree” to “twelve drummers drumming,” The Twelve Days of Christmas is as traditional as the holiday itself.

No one seems to argue that the intent of a song parody is to make people laugh, but some parents aren’t amused at a version of that classic that was selected for a sixth grade concert at Hendrick Middle School in Plano.

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/news/localnews/stories/112608dnmettwelvedays.1e96caebe.html

I’ll tell you why some people are forced to go to the media instead of the teachers, the principals, and the school board.  Because those people most likely probably wouldn’t care or even listen until the media gets involved and makes them take note that what they do or don’t do and approve and disapprove of is being reported to the public.  Only then will they do anything.  The liberals have been doing this for years and nobody whines or cries about it, so why can’t decent, conservative people do the same thing?  Fair is fair, except in the minds of the liberals who think only THEY are allowed to scream and cry to the media until they get what they want.  It is high time conservatives did the same thing to even the playing field a little.  Oh, and I have taught school so I know what they are talking about and it has nothing at all to do with choosing such a loser song for kids to sing at a Christmas concert.  Even if you can’t sing any songs about any religions, there are hundreds of generic, secular ones to choose from besides this piece of crap.  This would be better sung in a bar or a gathering of drunk friends than in front of parents and classmates in a middle school.

Bipartisanship: For The Common Good?

By David Limbaugh
November 25, 2008

Many say that now that Barack Obama has been elected, we should all work together for the common good. That sounds wonderful until you realize that we don’t all agree on what is the common good.

Notice I don’t take the position that Republicans should refuse to cooperate with Mr. Obama because Democrats have been indescribably partisan, cruel and unfair to President Bush for the past eight years. Those are certainly grounds to call them hypocrites, but we must always put the best interests of the nation above petty partisanship — obviously.

So we must ask: Would it be in the best interest of the nation for Republicans to work with Barack Obama?

More

Cooperate, Hell.  Where was the cooperation from the Dimocraps for the last eight years?  If we want to survive as a nation, we must NOT COOPERATE with this disaster-in-waiting called Hussein Obama.  In fact, we must OPPOSE him in everything, everywhere, at every opportunity.  That is the only way to save democracy and our rights in Hussein’s Fourth Reich which will be another retread of the Clintons but much, much worse in terms of socialism, communism, and fascism.  To paraphrase Churchill, we should fight them in Congress, we should fight them in the Courts, we should fight them in the Media, we should fight them in the State Legislatures and the City Councils, and so on.  And I’m not ashamed to say that.

Hudson: A Warning To The GOP

By Deal W. Hudson
November 25, 2008

In an op-ed published after the election, former Governor of New Jersey Christine Todd Whitman wrote, “Unless the Republican Party ends its self-imposed captivity to social fundamentalists, it will spend a long time in the political wilderness.” (web site)

And who are these “social fundamentalists?” In Whitman’s political lexicon, they are “the people who base their votes on such social issues as abortion, gay rights, and stem cell research.”

When I read Whitman’s column I had three thoughts:

More

Whitman is the one who needs to be run out of the GOP since she is at best a RINO and at worst a Libertarian or a hated Dimocrap posing as a Republican.    She is the one who needs to leave if she doesn’t agree with what the party was founded on.  After the debacle of 2008, we don’t need anymore of her type blaming the core base of the party for the ineptness of the moderate, centrist leadership that dug this pit we are in, in effect passing off their own huge mistakes as those of another.  Without the social conservatives there would be no GOP, where would this traitor be then?  In worse shape than she is in now unless she goes over to the Dimocraps, where she probably belongs anyhow.  The social conservatives of the Reagan type simply MUST take the party back from these misguided, ignorant moderates who have run the party into the ground with their appeasement to the Dimocraps and the middle.  I just read a quote from I think it was Churchill who said appeasement is feeding the crocodile so that he will eat you last.  That is what we have been doing for the last eight years and it just don’t work.  2008 proved that without a doubt.

Top 10 Things President Bush Should Do Before Leaving Office

Human Events

10. Land use — Review executive orders concerning the Antiquities Act designations of lands by the government. Under Bill Clinton, millions of acres of lands were locked up by executive fiat and, because these actions were not established by law, they can be undone by executive action of a subsequent President.

9. Oil drilling — Continue to push the Outer Continental Shelf planning process so that newly opened OCS acreage can be leased for future oil drilling.

8. Oil shale leasing — Issue the final leasing regulations for oil shale leasing in the Western United States. Without these, the U.S. won’t be able to tap our supplies of oil shale.

More

He should have done these things eight years ago, or whenever they came up.  I started out as a Bush fan because he was the son of the good Bush and he was a good governor of Texas when I lived there, and I hate to say it but now I think he was a terrible president from a conservative point of view.  While he was very effective and forceful in the defense of our country from terrorists, he was a wimp and either capitulated or worked actively with Dimocraps against conservative things, such as amnesty for illegals and overwhelming deficit spending with no justifiable purpose and no end in sight.  So while he ain’t no Hussein Obama, neither was he a Reagan or a Bush I.  I am very disappointed and disillusioned, not only with him but with the rest of the leaders of the GOP who acted more like Dimocraps than some Dimocraps.

Former Mexican President Calls Border Fence ‘Offensive’

(CNSNews.com) – Former Mexican President Ernesto Zedillo said he and his countrymen “regret” and “resent” the construction of a security fence on the border between the United States and Mexico and called for more “intelligent” security between the two countries on Monday.

Zedillo also blamed drug violence largely on Americans’ use of illegal drugs

“I personally find (the fence) profoundly offensive,” said Zedillo, co-chairman of the Brookings Institution’s Partnership for the Americas Commission, which released its report “Rethinking U.S.-Latin American Relations” on Monday.

More

Pardon my implied language, but Funk Mexico.  What did they ever give us but Mexican food and millions of illegal aliens?  The fence is absolutely necessary for the integrity of the US border and control of who crosses, not only to keep out illegal foreign nationals but also terrorists bent on our destruction.  We have enough people bent on our destruction already in here, and a lot of them are in elected offices and university classrooms.

Obama administration reveals plans to advance gay agenda

(CNA).- Citing what they call America’s “promise of equality,” the Obama administration plans to push for homosexual rights by including protections of sexual orientation, “gender identity” and “gender expression” as civil rights. His office proposes expanding hate crimes statues and the adoption rights of homosexuals while supporting full civil unions for “LGBT couples” to give them “legal rights and privileges equal to those of married couples.”

The proposals are announced under the Civil Rights section of their agenda presented at Change.gov, the web site of the Obama campaign’s self-described “Office of the President-elect.”

Once Considered Invincible, Chávez Takes a Blow

NY Times

CARACAS, Venezuela — From the hardened slums of this city to some of Venezuela’s most populous and economically important states, many of President Hugo Chávez’s supporters deserted him in regional elections, showing it is possible to challenge him in areas where he was once thought invincible.

The outcome of Sunday’s vote was the second blow dealt to the president in a year, after voters rejected last December his plan to alter the Constitution to give himself more power. Although it was unclear whether the results would slow his Socialist-inspired revolution or check his power, they could complicate his ambitions to amend the Constitution to allow him to run again.

I must say if this communist dictator can suffer setbacks, be weakened, and maybe defeated, then it gives me a smidgen of hope that the US can survive a Hussein nightmare of a presidency.  Living in South Florida, I know a LOT of Venezuelans who came here for the sole purpose of getting away from the nightmare of a Chavez Venezuela and they are the brightest and the best of that country, doctors, lawyers, businessmen, ranchers, politicians, etc., that refused to bow down to Chavez, just like so many American idiots bowed down to Hussein and elected him.  And these expat Venezuelans hate Chavez as much as I hate Hussein because they are two wolves of the same mold.

Women’s groups silent on Summers pick

Washington Times

CHICAGO

When word got out that President-elect Barack Obama might choose Lawrence H. Summers to assume the same Treasury secretary post he once held, women’s groups still angry about remarks he made in 2005 about women and math made their voices heard.

But on Monday, when Mr. Obama instead tapped Mr. Summers to be a key member of his economic team and director of the National Economic Council, groups that had been protesting or appearing on cable shows did not put out statements, and did not respond to requests for comment.

While president of Harvard University in January 2005, Mr. Summers stirred up controversy by saying at an economics conference that “innate” differences between men and women could explain why there are fewer female scientists.

It is amazing how liberals and Dimocraps can be selectively deaf or selectively stupid when they want to be.  You can get away with a lot being a Dimocrap as long as you toe the party line when it counts.  Just ask Lieberman.  You know good and well if a Republican president had done the same things in office that Clinton did and got away with, there would have been marches, protests, and riots in office by NOW and other feminist organizations until he resigned, but since Slick Willie was a Dimocrap, it was OK.  The libs and Dims are so two-faced and such hypocrites it is not even funny.

What a Single Nuclear Warhead Could Do

Why the U.S. needs a space-based missile defense against an EMP attack.

Brian T. Kennedy
Wall Street Journal

As severe as the global financial crisis now is, it does not pose an existential threat to the U.S. Through fits and starts we will sort out the best way to revive the country’s economic engine. Mistakes can be tolerated, however painful. The same may not be true with matters of national security.

Although President George W. Bush has accomplished more in the way of missile defense than his predecessors — including Ronald Reagan — he will leave office with only a rudimentary system designed to stop a handful of North Korean missiles launched at our West Coast. Barack Obama will become commander in chief of a country essentially undefended against Russian, Chinese, Iranian or ship-launched terrorist missiles. This is not acceptable.

The attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, have proven how vulnerable we are. On that day, Islamic terrorists flew planes into our buildings. It is not unreasonable to believe that if they obtain nuclear weapons, they might use them to destroy us. And yet too many policy makers have rejected three basic facts about our position in the world today:

More

Reads like the plot of an end-of-the-world science fiction story but is 100% plausible.  And Hussien and the Dimocraps will do nothing about it and will in fact, probably assist in it coming about, whether willingly or through stupidity and ineptness.

The War On Drugs

By Harris R. Sherline
November 24, 2008

Albert Einstein is credited with making the observation that “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.”

That’s what the government appears to be doing with the War on Drugs, as the nation’s drug problem continues to expand. The War was launched by President Nixon in 1971, and after 37 years of increasingly draconian punishment and confiscatory laws, we don’t seem to be any closer to winning. If anything, the problem is worse, much worse.

The Drug War Clock notes the following facts, among others, about the War on Drugs:

“The U.S. federal government spent over $19 billion dollars in 2003 on the War on Drugs, at a rate of about $600 per second…State and local governments spent at least another $30 billion.”

More

“I know, there are arguments that drug use is a slippery slope and opening the door to their use will lead to abusing the really bad stuff, but why not give it a try?”

I’ll tell you why.  Because opening that door is like opening Pandora’s Box.  Once it is open there is no way to put the evil back inside.  Do you want the pilot that is about to fly your plan to have just smoked a joint, since it is legal?  How about your bus driver?  How about the guy driving next to you on the freeway?  Do you really want him to be high on marijuana that could be laced with PCB or something even more sinister?  It is bad enough that people drive drunk but to make drugs legal so that people can drive high?  Sherline’s quote from Einstein is apt, but it is Sherline that is the insane one here.  Once you legalize drugs that will lead to more and more legalizations of more and harder drugs and once you let that genie out of the bottle there is no way he is going back in again.  America is already in enough trouble on a decline to socialism and probably fascism and communism.  There is no need to add to this horrible mix a legalization of drugs.  They are illegal for a reason.  Keep them that way.

I am very perplexed and disenchanted when I hear or read supposed conservative writers taking such anti-conservative, liberal, socialist stands, despite the butt-whipping we took in the election.  We failed not because we were too conservative but because we were not conservative enough.

Olivastro: Gasoline, Oil & The Economy

By Richard Olivastro
November 24, 2008

Gas prices have been heading down. That’s the right direction.

AAA reports the “average price per gallon is below $2.00 in 30 states”. That’s a good sign.

If the price decline levels off closer to one dollar per gallon, Americans will know that the industry and foreign suppliers have regained their collective senses; and the speculators have been routed out.

But, one wonders if the industry soothsayers – while saying “it is certainly feasible to see prices of 1.60 to $1.70 in the next few weeks” — would really prefer a brake to the price drop, that consumers feel is, to them, a needed break.

More

Nice thoughts but it will never, ever, ever fly in a Hussein presidency.  The Dims plan to keep America weak, through dependency on foreign oil as well as total control of the education system, entertainment and communication system, etc., so that they can keep their control of the government, the Hell with the consequences to the US.  While the conservatives slept, the socialist took over and Emperor Hussein fiddles while Washington burns.

A Log Cabin Made of Straw

According to a press release from the pro-gay “marriage” group, Log Cabin Republicans, one of the first stops for the newly elected Chairman of the National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC), Congressman Pete Sessions (R-Texas), was the fundraising dinner for the homosexual organization. The release states that Representative Sessions said that the GOP cannot win elections and reach out to voters if it continues to oppose the issues that Log Cabin stands for, presumably including same-sex “marriage.” My team sought clarification from Sessions’ office and was told he did speak to the Log Cabin group, but that a copy of his remarks was not available. If the Log Cabin portrayal is true, it is disturbing on a number of accounts. One, Sessions’ new position as the head of the NRCC is to train and recruit new candidates for the Republican Party. If this is his idea of “campaign advice” then the Republicans better prepare for a longer term in the minority then they faced prior to 1994. Secondly, if the GOP is serious about reaching out to new voters, especially African-Americans and Hispanics, then it should look closely at the exit polls on issues important to families. Both minority groups strongly support traditional family values that embrace life and protect marriage, two things the Republican Party once stood for also. Under these circumstances, pro-family voters should reserve judgment about giving their financial support to either political party.

This is the path our party’s leaders are taking, down the same failed trail reaching out to moderates and centrists that oppose what the party has always stood for and abandoning its core values.

Babbin: Don’t Bail Out the UAW

Jed Babbin
Human Events

Congressional Democrats don’t want to bail out GM, Ford and Chrysler: they want to bail out the United Auto Workers union. Speaker Pelosi spoke for all the Democrats when she rejects the idea of reorganization of the companies under bankruptcy protections. Why? Because bankruptcy is the only legal mechanism which can free the industry from its giveaway deals with the UAW.

No matter how much money is thrown at the automakers, no matter how many times they are bailed out, the only possibility of saving them in the long run is the same thing that gives the major airlines the ability to continue flying: protection under the bankruptcy laws that enabled them to void their industry-killing labor agreements.

This is anathema to the Democrats and the UAW. They are interested in saving the union’s power over the industry regardless of the cost to the automakers and the taxpayers.

More

Couldn’t have said it better myself. I would rather see the automakers go bankrupt than continue in slavery to the corrupt, greedy, overpaid, arrogant, power-mad UAW. The ONLY way for them to survive is to get rid of the unions completely. Otherwise the Dimocraps will just be throwing our tax money away down an infinite, voracious black hole only for the sole purpose of keeping the unions voting Dimocrap and sending them campaign money so that they can maintain their hold on power. Absolute corruption that undeniably hurts the nation.

Straight-ticket voting on the rise in Texas

06:42 AM CST on Monday, November 24, 2008

By GROMER JEFFERS JR. / The Dallas Morning News

Winning elections in Texas sometimes isn’t about who you are, but about the party you’re with.

In November, Texans voted straight-party tickets in staggering numbers, once again altering the outcomes of down-ballot races that got caught up in the partisan frenzy.

The straight-ticket voting helped Democrats make gains, while securing already entrenched strongholds for Republicans.

A lot of people are too stupid to be voting anyway.  Of course, the vast majority of them voted for Hussein.  If you don’t believe me, go to http://www.howobamagotelected.com/ and watch the video and see how clueless and ignorant the Hussein voters are.  And this was from a random sample.  They don’t even know which party is in charge of the Congress that got us into this horrible mess.  There needs to be an intelligence test or at the very least a civics test before people are allowed to vote, especially for the ones, like these mentioned above, that have absolutely no idea what is going on in government or how the government is supposed to work.  Of course, with Hussein and the Dimocraps in charge it will never happen.  They would rather have the sheep that elect them ignorant and clueless so they can keep getting electing by their mindless followers who know nothing and care about nothing but what they can get for free from a socialist government run by Big Brother Hussein and the Commiecrat Party.

American Public Flunks Basic Civics

However you regard the outcome of the November 4 election, it was heartening to watch 125 million Americans cast their ballots at precincts from coast to coast. Unfortunately, they and the many millions more who skipped the whole thing collectively know frightfully little about the government we just reaffirmed, the principles that undergird it, and the basic documents in which those ideas are enshrined. Thus, Americans slouch into the 21st Century — a free and confident people blissfully unaware of how we got here or how we shall continue our 232-year-old tradition of limited self-government.

Consider these staggering data:

*Fully 71 percent of Americans flunked a 33-question civic-literacy survey conducted by the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. Among 2,508 respondents ISI randomly selected, 1,791 failed this test of U.S. historical, political, and economic basics. The average score was just 49 out of 100 — a solid F. While just 2.6 percent scored Bs on this quiz, only 0.8 percent earned As.

If you needed any proof that the US is chock full of idiots all you had to do was follow the election and look at the Nov. 4 results.  I used to think the movie “Idiocracy” was a pretty good joke but now more and more I see it as prophetic.  What do they teach in high school and college these days?  Either they teach nothing at all or the students mostly all cheat enough to pass.  A third possibility is that they learn just enough to pass for the moment and then forget it as irrelevant as soon as they can.  In any case we must be the most ignorant population the US has ever had.

I never seriously considered an intelligence or civics test for the right to vote until I read an article that said some people just shouldn’t be voting because they don’t know anything about what they are voting for.  Now I am in full favor of laws that require some sort of civics or intelligence test before one can be issued a voter registration.  At the very least a basic knowledge of US, state, and local government and some common sense should be included.  But with the power of the Dimocraps resting on their unfailing support by all the idiots of the country there is no way in Hades that will ever happen.  Just wishful thinking is all that is.

Reagan: The Balkanization of the Grand Old Party

By Michael Reagan
November 21, 2008

Before the Republican Party even begins to think about curing what ails it, members have to recognize the fact that the party is Balkanized.

We are never going to win elections if we remain broken up into separate factions, sometimes barely speaking to one another. Bizarre as it seems, each group within this Balkanization of the GOP is united in the belief that Ronald Reagan is its standard bearer.

This, they tell us, is the man they want to follow. Ronald Reagan was not someone who found ways to disagree with you, but spent most of his life trying to find ways to agree with you.

But what he said we don’t do is exactly what most of us did when we held our noses and voted for McCain, even though we despise him and most things he stands for, just to keep Hussein out of office.

Adamo: The Narrow Path To Reviving Conservatism

By Christopher G. Adamo
November 21, 2008

In their typically duplicitous fashion, Republican “moderates” who orchestrated this latest electoral catastrophe are once again blaming the lingering vestige of conservatism in the McCain campaign as the factor that ultimately doomed its prospects. This forked-tongue political ploy is certainly nothing new, but instead represents the standard tactics of the Republican moderates whenever they assert their presence within the Party. Move to the left, attempt to be as much like the Democrats as possible (ostensibly at a lower cost), and then blame conservatism when voters reject the scam.

To nobody’s surprise, liberal Democrats are always eager to assist in the disinformation campaign, especially since those perennially gullible “moderates” are far more willing to embrace the philosophies of the left than anything from the right. Following every election in which RINO thinking dominates, Republican “moderates” join with the Democrats in pointing out who among the party’s “extreme right” bears responsibility for the loss.

All the more reason to abandon the moderates, centrists, and RINO’s in the GOP leadership since they already abandoned us.

Limbaugh: Evangelicals — A Drag On Or Essential To The GOP?

By David Limbaugh
November 21, 2008

A good friend of mine (let’s call him Bob) is convinced that unless the GOP puts abortion “aside as its focal point, it simply cannot win and regain power.” That’s especially interesting in light of Kathleen Parker’s latest column, which disses the evangelical wing of the GOP.

Bob’s point is that “we’ve lost a majority of women over this issue as they have become one-issue voters.” It’s not only liberal women but also others who believe it’s simply not the government’s business.

Kathleen Parker broadens the point considerably beyond abortion: “The evangelical, right-wing, oogedy-boogedy branch of the GOP is what ails the erstwhile conservative party and will continue to afflict and marginalize its constituents if reckoning doesn’t soon cometh.” Since the 1980s or so, says Parker, the GOP “has become increasingly beholden to an element that used to be relegated to wooden crates on street corners. … The GOP has surrendered its high ground to its lowest brows. In the process, the party has alienated its non-base constituents.”

More

Without the evangelicals the GOP would cease to exist as it is.  It would become just another weak third party like the Greens or the Libertarians.  To throw us out would be akin to throwing the baby out with the bath water or cutting your nose off to spite your face.  The analogies are endless.  Those in leadership or places of influence who feel they can do without the religious base of the party would be better off leaving the party themselves, because, like it or not, we are the core of the party and to deny that is to deny that this country was founded on Godly principals as evidenced by how many times the Founding Fathers used the name of God in their private writings as well as official public documents.  Kathleen Parker sounds like she is a RINO and needs to go join the Dimocraps or the Libertarians or somebody else since she is apparently no social conservative.  If these ignorant so-called “leaders” of our party want to shed us evangelicals and social conservatives it will be the death knell of the party and they ought to know this.  They might as well be digging their own graves.  We are the ones who need to be taking the party back from these left-wing nuts who have infiltrated and contaminated it.

Bozell: Hollywood’s Ridiculous Lawyers

By Brent Bozell
November 21, 2008

Both Time and Newsweek magazines are giggling at the Supreme Court oral arguments on the fleeting-TV-profanity case of FCC vs. Fox Television Stations. The court is considering if it has the authority to regulate obscene language on the public airwaves.

Time noticed Justice Antonin Scalia joking that “Bawdy jokes are OK, if they are really good.” Newsweek reported that Justice John Paul Stevens wanted to know if “dung” was a dirty word.

The magazines that aspire to define history saw this Supreme Court argument as only good for a laugh. Maybe it was. After all, Barack Obama will soon be president, and Hollywood’s heavy investment in his presidential campaign will surely pay great dividends in moral laxity at the FCC and silence in Obama’s liberal bully pulpit.

Yet another symptom of the decline of not only intelligence in the US but of politeness, manners, and consideration of others.  We are becoming, if we aren’t already, a nation of dim-witted, classless fools that cater to the lowest common denominator, no matter how low, vile, or filthy that is.  We tolerate way too much filth and garbage in everyday life as well as entertainment and popular culture.  It is said that what one generation allows in moderation, the next will allow in excess and we see that apparent now as more and more filth is accepted and tolerated as each year goes by.

Obama Attorney General Nominee Eric Holder Helped Enable 2000 Elian Gonzalez Seizure

NewsBusters

Now that Eric Holder is in the process of trying to graduate from Barack Obama’s vice-presidential search committee to President-elect Obama’s apparent nominee for Attorney General, it’s a good idea to remind people of Holder’s role in the Elian Gonzalez case in 2000. This post largely reprises one I put up in June.

In between hosannas, someone should consider Barack Obama’s “Judgment to Lead” in light of his selection of Eric Holder as his nominee for Attorney General.

Besides his already-known role as former Clinton Administration Deputy Attorney General in facilitating the Clinton pardons, including that of fugitive billionaire financier March Rich, there’s the matter of Holder’s involvement in the Elian Gonzalez case in 2000.

Welcome to Hell or the Fourth Reich, whichever is worse.  Hussein will be well on his way to showing his true colors and creating a communist/fascist dictatorship where all dissent will be violently and permanently crushed, thus ensuring his power for some time to come, until the people wake up.  Of course by then it might be far too late to be rescued from the thrall of despotism.

Obama Transition Said to Consider a ‘Prepack’ Auto Bankruptcy

Nov. 21 (Bloomberg) — President-Elect Barack Obama‘s transition team is exploring a swift, prepackaged bankruptcy for automakers as a possible solution to the industry’s financial crisis, according to a person familiar with the matter.

Obama’s team has already contacted at least one bankruptcy- law firm to say that Daniel Tarullo, a professor at Georgetown University’s law school who heads Obama’s economic policy working group, would call to discuss the workings of a so-called prepack, according to this person.

U.S. lawmakers yesterday postponed until December a vote on whether to give General Motors Corp., Ford Motor Co. and Chrysler LLC a $25 billion bailout as an alternative. Automakers such as GM could use court protection to reduce debt and reject unfavorable contracts.

More

This might be the only thing Hussein will ever get right.  With bankruptcy instead of bailout, the automakers can get rid of some of the power of their arrogant, corrupt, demanding unions that have just about destroyed them.  IMHO this might be the only way this horrible scenario could work with the least damage to all concerned.  I admit I speak from some bias because I hold stock in GM that has been in the family for nearly 50 years and I would hate to see them go under.  On the other hand I would jump up and down with glee if the greedy UAW and other unions were finally buried and gone forever.  I also know Hussein wasn’t smart enough to figure this out on his own, somebody must have told him about it.  So maybe once in a blue moon he might actually listen and take good advice.  Of course this could just be a one-time-only event as well and the rest of his reign will be such a disaster that will so utterly destroy the country and the world that GM going into the tank will not matter in the long run.

Report: U.S. Dominance and Influence Predicted to Fade

Fox News

The next two decades will see a world living with the daily threat of nuclear war, environmental catastrophe and the decline of America as the dominant global power, according to a frighteningly bleak assessment by the U.S. intelligence community.

“The world of the near future will be subject to an increased likelihood of conflict over resources, including food and water, and will be haunted by the persistence of rogue states and terrorist groups with greater access to nuclear weapons,” said the report by the National Intelligence Council.

The analysts said that the report had been prepared in time for Barack Obama’s entry into the Oval office on January 20, where he will be faced with some of the greatest challenges of any newly-elected president.

More

All I can say is “Duh!”  This is what a lot of us were warning about but those that voted for Hussein didn’t listen or didn’t want to listen.  All the hard work Ronald Reagan did to make the world safe and peaceful, especially for Americans went for naught.  By our acquiescing to the demands of the left and sleeping while they took over the country by subterfuge, we not only have condemned our own country but the world as well, to a future of chaos with the vastly improved potential for violence and destruction.  While a true Republican might have held the wolves at bay for a few more years if we would’ve been able to elect one, Hussein already is one of the wolves and will only accelerate the US’s decline and with it, the well-being of the entire world.  Welcome to Hell again.

New AG Appointee Advocated To Stifle Speech On Web

NewsBusters

In April 1999, the Columbine High School massacre happened. The shooters, Dylan Harris and Eric Klebold, reportedly learned how to construct sophisticated bombs through their internet activity. This discovery caused then deputy attorney general Eric Holder to say the following(audio uploaded at Eyeblast.tv

The court has really struck down every government effort to try to regulate it. We tried with regard to pornography. It is gonna be a difficult thing, but it seems to me that if we can come up with reasonable restrictions, reasonable regulations in how people interact on the Internet, that is something that the Supreme Court and the courts ought to favorably look at. – May 28, 1999 NPR Morning Edition

House GOP Backs Away from Earmark Moratorium

CQ Politics

For the second year in a row, the House GOP caucus Thursday rejected an effort to limit its members’ requests for special projects, or earmarks, in this case a short-term moratorium.

The vote again exposed fissures among GOP conservatives and could undercut one of the party’s signature themes, limited government.

Minority Leader John A. Boehner of Ohio and Eric Cantor of Virginia had unveiled late Wednesday a moratorium on GOP earmark requests through Feb. 16 while a new panel of Republicans comes up with proposals for permanent restrictions and disclosure requirements for earmarks

But Todd Tiahrt of Kansas, an appropriator, offered an amendment to strip the requirement for an earmark moratorium. And Tiahrt’s moratorium-killing proposal was approved by the full caucus, said several GOP aides. The amended rules package was then adopted.

Salvato: Giving Marriage Back To The Church

By Frank Salvato
November 21, 2008

Across the country the issue of “gay marriage” is being debated, examined, voted on and legislated. Groups, both pro and con, have taken to the streets from Massachusetts and Connecticut to both ends of California to express their support and opposition to legislating finality to this issue. While the answer to this ideological impasse may indeed come from legislation, it may come in an unexpected form and require those on both sides of the issue to dial back on their own self-importance.

At the risk of leaving many a religious person’s mouth agape, I don’t have a problem with people who have declared themselves homosexual. Having spent many years of my young adulthood in the entertainment industry I came to know many good, honest, hardworking, patriotic people who had come to the conclusion that they were gay. While this is not a lifestyle I choose to embrace for myself, because I believe in the concepts of “liberty” and “the pursuit of happiness” I find it hard to pass judgment on someone’s lifestyle when their actions do not affect my liberty or pursuit of happiness.

More

Salvato sounds like a fruitcake to me.  Marriage was instituted by God to be between a man and a woman to be fruitful and multiply on the face of the earth, something homosexuals are by nature incapable of doing.  Just like it was instituted by God for it to be wrong to kill and steal, commit adultery and so on.  So if governmental controls or laws are needed to enforce these basic tenets of civilization on the outlaw and anarchistic tendencies of a few malcontents within the civilization, then that is the way it has to be.  Otherwise you have total chaos and nothing is sacred and nothing is safe, and the civilization is doomed.  If you let one brick in the wall of a civilization fall out you have a hole and soon more and more bricks begin to fall out.  Eventually the wall is incapable of supporting itself because so many bricks are missing and it collapses.  Prohibitions against gay rights and gay marriage, along with preserving life instead of abortion, common decency, and so on, are bricks in the wall of Western Civilization and once they are removed you begin to see more and more bricks fall out of their own accord, like a line of dominoes falling until soon enough, in the end all you see are a pile of bricks and rubble in the ruins where the wall once stood.  That’s my treatise on the fall of Western Civilization.

Bailout with a price: Chapter 11 bankruptcy

By JIM KUHNHENN
Associated Press
November 20, 2008

WASHINGTON (AP) — Mention a corporate bailout in the nation’s capital these days and chances are someone will offer a harsh condition to go along with it. Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

Lately, the term “prepackaged bankruptcy” has been gaining currency in the halls of Congress as lawmakers struggle with pleas for help from the auto industry.

The idea, embraced by some Democrats and Republicans, would extend taxpayer help in exchange for a company undergoing an accelerated Chapter 11 reorganization. The arrangement could represent a model, or a deterrent, for any other strapped companies considering seeking government help.

Yes, that’s the only way to do it.  Tell the bloated, overpaid, greedy unions if they want a job they have to give up some serious benefits and pay packages or they can go join everybody else in the unemployment line.  At the same time the corporate bigwigs need to take a serious pay cut and forget about bonuses until the debt is paid off.  Otherwise do what Eastern Airlines did and just shut down since they can’t compete with the Japs in this economic environment.  If they do hope to survive and go the United route, the unions have to take some major job losses and pay and benefit cuts or they might as well throw in the towel now.  I wonder if the corrupt UAW will even consider that or if they will just cease to exist on account of their greed and hunger for power.

Obama seeks reforms in talk with UN chief

By BARRY SCHWEID

WASHINGTON (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama is urging the United Nations chief to embark on “far-reaching reform” of the world organization to help it address pressing global issues.

At the same time, in a telephone conversation Wednesday, Obama told Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon that the United States “should rededicate itself to the organization and to its mission,” said Brook Anderson, chief national security spokeswoman for the Obama transition team.

Last month, Ban called for greater cooperation from the United States.

Kudlow: Tarp The TARP

By Lawrence Kudlow
November 20, 2008

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson has called for a pause in the financing request for the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP), halting it at $350 billion. (The original request was for $700 billion.) I think that’s an excellent idea. But in a recent hearing of Rep. Barney Frank’s Financial Services Committee, Democrats went ballistic at the thought of no more TARP money. They want to keep spending. They want to throw money at GM, the other Detroit carmakers, plumbers, auto-parts suppliers, homeowners, mortgage problems and foreclosures. Candy stores all over America now want TARP money.

Meanwhile, Senior Obama advisors are talking about another $600 billion to pull us out of recession. Some reports even suggest the development of a new industrial policy for big-government interference in housing, banking, energy, autos and more.

More

If Congress had any sense at all, economic or otherwise, and failing that, if they just listened to their constituents’ outrage over the bailout, they would rescind the whole thing before another dollar is thrown away.  I don’t know how they can even THINK about another stimulus plan when a) this one isn’t working, and b) the country is already so deeply in debt, the world will end before we are back even again.

Patton: GOP Needs More Sarahs And Fewer Arnolds

By Doug Patton
November 19, 2008

At the recent Republican Governors Conference in Florida, one superstar (Sarah Palin of Alaska) was center stage, while another (Arnold Schwarzenkennedy of Caleefornia) was conspicuous by his absence.

Fresh off her rollercoaster ride as the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, Governor Palin gave a speech that was simultaneously humorous and serious, confident yet self-deprecating. Unshackled from the nitwits who ran the disorganized John McCain for President Campaign, she was relaxed and back in her element. She spoke of the states as a proving ground for the future leadership of the nation, and of the governors as the alternative to Washington’s visionless business-as-usual. She is truly a political rising star in the midst of several political rising stars.

Conspicuous by his absence was the governator, celebrity potentate of an increasingly ungovernable state that comprises most of the Left Coast. Apparently, he was too busy begging the federal government for a bailout of his state to bother attending the RGC. Either that or he was pouting because he is no longer the biggest fish in the shrinking pond of GOP governors.

More

Ahnold needs to resign from the GOP and become what he always has been, a Dimocrap.  There is no way in Heck California should get a single cent of federal tax money.  They dug their own hole, let them dig their own way out of it.  It isn’t fair to the states that did without and lived within their means to have to foot the bill to bail out liberal, progressive states that overspent without any regard to fiscal restraint.  They made their bed, let them lie in it.

Williams: Evil Concealed By Money

By Walter E. Williams
November 19, 2008

Evil acts can be given an aura of moral legitimacy by noble-sounding socialistic expressions such as spreading the wealth, income redistribution or caring for the less fortunate. Let’s think about socialism.

Imagine there’s an elderly widow down the street from you. She has neither the strength to mow her lawn nor enough money to hire someone to do it. Here’s my question to you that I’m almost afraid for the answer: Would you support a government mandate that forces one of your neighbors to mow the lady’s lawn each week? If he failed to follow the government orders, would you approve of some kind of punishment ranging from house arrest and fines to imprisonment? I’m hoping that the average American would condemn such a government mandate because it would be a form of slavery, the forcible use of one person to serve the purposes of another.

More

People would much rather give willingly to churches and other charities to assist their neighbors and fellow Americans than have Big Brother take the money from then and dictate who it went to.  Yet this is what is happening.  Our money that we would have given to those causes we deemed worthy is now taken from us in the form of taxes and given to all sorts of disreputable and abhorrent groups that openly oppose our values to actively work against them and there is nothing we can do about it.  If the government stayed out of the social welfare program and let the churches and independent charities take care of it, more people would give more, it would get done much more efficiently and everyone would be happy.  All it takes is the government to screw everything up.  With Big Brother taking more and more in taxes, you are going to see money given to charity shrink further and further since there will be less money to be given, because Big Brother takes it for his cradle-to-grave social experimentation.

Sowell: The Right To Win

By Thomas Sowell
November 19, 2008

Among the many new “rights” being conjured out of thin air, a new one seems to be a “right” to win.

Americans have long had the right to put their candidates and their ideas to a vote. Now there seems to be a sense that your rights have been trampled on if you don’t win.

Hillary Clinton’s supporters were not merely disappointed, but outraged, when she lost the Democrats’ nomination to Barack Obama. Some took it as a sign that, while racial barriers had come down, the “glass ceiling” holding down women was still in place.

It is fairly obvious to anyone of even modest intelligence (that leaves out Liberals and Dimocraps, by the way), that for all of their whining and screaming about conservatives being intolerant, conservatives are a million times more tolerant of liberal points of view than liberals are of conservative points of view.  If it weren’t so, how did we let the liberals and radicals get away with so much that now they have taken the country away from us?  The Libs and Dims are the biggest hypocrites in the history of the universe, yet they are too blind, or ignorant, to see it themselves.  They believe, like Bill Ayers, that the end justifies the means.  If you don’t win the legitimate way it is okay to resort to violence, thuggery, and terrorism, until you do win.  On the other hand, conservatives are to nice and play by the rules.  If we lose we take it like men, accept it, and move on to the next fight.  Or at least work within the rules to change it without resorting to crime and intimidation.  Perhaps we should steal a few plays from the liberals’ playbook.  But we are too honest, moral, and good to resort to such evil.  And as a result we lose and keep losing more and more of our culture and our country.

Malkin: The Insane Rage Of The Same-Sex Marriage Mob

By Michelle Malkin
November 19, 2008

Before Election Day, national media handwringers forged a wildly popular narrative: The right was, in the words of New York Times columnist Paul Krugman, gripped by “insane rage.” Outbreaks of incivility (some real, but mostly imagined) were proof positive of the extremist takeover of the Republican Party. The cluck-cluckers and tut-tutters shook with fear.

But when the GOP took a beating on Nov. 4, no mass protests ensued; no nationwide boycotts erupted. Conservatives took their lumps and began the peaceful post-defeat process of self-flagellation, self-analysis and self-autopsy.

In fact, in the wake of campaign 2008 there’s only one angry mob gripped by “insane rage”: left-wing same-sex marriage activists incensed at their defeat in California. Voters there approved Proposition 8, a traditional marriage initiative, by 52 percent to 48 percent.

More

Can you imagine the outcry and crucifixion in the press and media if it were anti-gay protestors that resorted to violence?  Yet the MSM is so overly supportive and protective of the gay “rights” protestors.  The vile double-standard of the corrupt, bias press will continue forever.  I wonder what it would take for the other side, the anti-gay forces to mobilize to protect themselves and their freedoms against this insane madness.  The actual burning down of a church?  Or the Kalifornia Supreme Court nullifying the people’s vote on Prop. 8?  We have got to get back some measure of control over our own lives and destinies as well as that of the country before the radicals on the left take away even the ability to exert any control at all from us.  Unfortunately I don’t see the government or law enforcement doing anything to protect us from the gay mobs much less do anything to them as punishment for their hate and crimes.

Did Hated Speculators Lower Oil Prices?

J.T. Young
Investor’s Business Daily

Whither the speculators? They were this summer’s front-page news, the subject of congressional hearings, editorials and nightly newscasts. The claimed culprits of oil’s price rise, everyone fell over themselves to be tougher on them.

Alas, nothing disappears as fast as a perceived invalidation of the law of supply and demand. Eventually the two reconcile into accepted parameters, and nothing is less newsworthy than the conventional.

However, it is worth recalling this summer’s episode for the next time supply and demand are forgotten.

That is the price you pay for being smarter than everybody else and being able to figure out where the market is going so you can make money, i.e. the American Way.  Then when you do what you were supposed to do in a free country, make money honestly by playing within the rules as they were, you are vilified as a thief and a robber, a very evil person, while at the same time, the truly evil person, the one who taxes you and gives the money you earned to somebody who sat on their butt and did nothing to earn it, is a hero.  Both my grandfathers were speculators and I have friends who are current day speculators and they are not evil, corrupt, or greedy.  They’re just doing what they know best to put food on the table for their families.

Iran Produces Enough Uranium to Build Nuclear Weapon

Fox News

Iran has now produced roughly enough uranium to make a single nuclear bomb, according to atomic experts analyzing the latest report from the U.N. nuclear watchdog agency, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

To date, Iran had enriched about 1,400 pounds of low-enriched uranium suitable for nuclear fuel, according to two confidential reports from the International Atomic Energy Agency that were obtained by The Associated Press.

Several experts told The Times the milestone was enough for a bomb, but Iran would have to further purify the uranium fuel and put it into a warhead design — a technical advance that experts in the West are unsure Iran has been able to achieve.

More

Iran is going to get the Bomb and then it will be too late because there will be nothing anyone can do about it to take it back.  While we had the chance to stop the madmen who run that country, the pansy Europeans, the evil and corrupt Russians and Chinese, and the anti-American UN sat on their hands and allowed Iran to get away it.  I wonder how they will feel when Israel is wiped off the face of the earth by an Iranian nuke as Iran has promised to do.

Israel is the only country with what it takes to stand up to the hatemongers in Iran and destroy their ability to eradicate them from the face of the earth, as they did several years ago.  But if they do take that drastic step because the rest of the world is too chicken to stand up Iran and the Arabs, then they will probably be attacked by every other Arab country in the world, not to mention every Arab terrorist.  They are in a damned if you do, damned if you don’t position, there is no way to win.  If they let Iran get the Bomb, they are dead.  If they stop Iran from getting the Bomb, they are equally dead.  What is there to do, if nobody will stand up with you and fight the evil madness from Tehran?  You know Hussein sure isn’t going to help.  He’ll be even more useless than the pansies in the EU.

So much for Hussein’s “change.”  All he is doing is recycling the Clintons’ garbage for his administration.  It will just be the 90’s all over again except more polarizing and more liberal and socialist.  Hussein is nothing but lies, all lies.

Union Workers at Big Three Automakers Average $73 an Hour

(CNSNews.com) – Economists in Michigan, the long-time home of the auto industry, say they don’t support the proposed multi-billion dollar bailout of Big Three automakers Chrysler, GM and Ford.

One reason why, they say, is the ultra-high labor costs for union workers employed by the Big Three. It costs over $73 per hour on average to employ a union auto worker, according to University of Michigan at Flint economist Mark J. Perry.

“Is it right to tax the average worker making $28.50 to bailout workers whose labor cost is over $73 an hour?” Perry asked.

More

The only way I would support a bailout would be with very, very severe reductions in union wages and benefits.  Anything less is like throwing money down a black hole as long as foreign makers can pay their workers half of what the unions force the American companies to pay.  After all it is the union’s own fault that they have driven their employers to bankruptcy with their extraordinary and outlandish demands.  If the automakers do go bankrupt and the unions all lose their jobs it would serve the union members and their bosses right.  Demanding themselves right out of a job.  Kind of like what Eastern Airlines did to its unions.

Limbaugh: Toward The Tipping Point

By David Limbaugh
November 18, 2008

In the aftermath of the 2008 Republican electoral bloodbath, many are discussing what direction the party should take to recapture its vitality and viability. Liberals — as if they have the best interests of the GOP at heart — and so-called elitist, Northeastern Republicans seem to agree the party should tack center. I disagree.

Traditional conservatism and its advocates invariably get bad raps. They’re painted as uncompromising, uncompassionate extremists who won’t adjust to the realities of the 21st century.

But those familiar with modern history understand that these intramural debates have been going on for decades. I remember my father complaining about Rockefeller Republicans in the early ’60s, so the schism had to have begun much earlier than that.

More

Everything Limbaugh says is correct, as most of us well know.  However I fear we are already passed that “tipping point,” already sliding down that slippery slope into the well of socialism from which we will never, ever be able to climb our way our, at least to the way we were when we were free and mighty.  We conservatives got lazy and complacent while the libs were working their butts off to overthrow us and usurp the country from its traditions and origins into a communist and socialist realm.

Our Spendthrift States Don’t Need a Bailout

Steve Malanga
Wall Street Journal

Last year at this time, many governors and state legislators were imploring Congress to let them spend more money by expanding the State Children’s Health Insurance Program. Since the states share the cost of the program with Washington, the expansion would have allowed them to cover families with incomes up to 300% of the poverty level (more in some cases). It also would have meant hundreds of millions in additional state spending, and an estimated $24 billion in additional federal spending. President Bush vetoed the bill.

Today, governors and state legislators are singing a different tune. Unable to pay their bills as tax revenues shrink, they’re imploring Washington to bail them out. California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger, who had been grappling with a $15 billion budget deficit, wrote to Congress on Oct. 21 applauding plans for $14 billion in aid for states in the latest proposed federal economic stimulus plan. New York Gov. David Paterson has twice traveled to Washington, most recently on Oct. 29, to ask for federal aid. The Empire State’s budget deficit is now estimated at $12 billion over the next two years.

More

There is no way the Federal government should be allowed to bailout states that overspend and can’t balance their budgets.  Why should the socialist states without any semblance of fiscal responsibility get a free check at the expense of the states that did without and wisely took care of their own money?  Let the overextended states endure bitter cutbacks and see if their citizens want to elect a liberal state government again.

Steele on Rebuilding the GOP

Martha Zoller
Human Events

Michael Steele is a busy man. Between his duties as GOPAC Chairman, this past weekend Steele was keeping tabs on the Republican Governors Association meeting in Southern Florida and addressing a group at “Restoration Weekend” sponsored by David Horowitz’s Freedom Center. Steele moderated a panel with me, Rep. Mike Pence, Ward Connerly and Pat Caudell.

Last week, Steele announced he will be seeking the chairmanship of the Republican National Committee. There with us in Florida, Steele began telling Republicans what we have to do to rebuild. Steele made no apologies for the ’08 elections or for conservatism.

The lessons of the losses are fresh and still coming with three Senate seats hanging in the balance in Alaska, Minnesota and Georgia. “What I learned is that you can’t please everyone, but you can certainly make them mad at you at the same time,” said Steele. “We have over the course of the last seven or eight years ticked off a lot of people in this county. Not because we’re conservatives…but because we failed to speak to those issues — because we failed to lead on these issues.”

More

I agree completely about the RINO’s, moderates, centrists, and liberal pseudo-Republicans.  Throw the bums out and get back to being Ronald Reagan’s party.  Let them join the Libertarians or the Dimocraps or whoever else they want that are more closely aligned with their views.  It would be great if Steele could bring back the African-Americans to the Republican Party with their socially conservative views.  After all, look how soundly African-Americans voted to defeat counterfeit marriage in California and Florida, despite voting for Hussein.

On people, especially liberals and those who supported Hussein not knowing history:

It’s not so much not knowing history but that history has been rewritten by liberals over the long course of time and that false, or at the very least, biased and distorted, history is what is being taught in schools and universities these days by mostly liberal educators also cast in that same revisionist mold.  In some cases history classes are nothing more than indoctrination into liberalism and socialism while at the same time marginalizing or condemning any contributions of conservatives and capitalists.

How Obama Got Elected

Howobamagotelected.c om

On November 4th, 2008 millions of Americans were shocked that a man of Barack Obama’s limited experience, extreme liberal positions and radical political alliances could be elected President of the United States. For many of these Americans, the explanation was rather simple… the news media, completely enamored with Obama, simply refused to do their job.

On Election day twelve Obama voters were interviewed extensively right after they voted to learn how the news media impacted their knowledge of what occurred during the campaign. These voters were chosen for their apparent intelligence/verbal abilities and willingness to express their opinions to a large audience. The rather shocking video below seeks to provide some insight into which information broke through the news media clutter and which did not.

more

I needed a good laugh today and with this I got it.  I am surprised these morons even knew there were not 57 states.  If this is a random selection of Hussein voters, I am even more shocked at their idiocy than I thought I would be and I already had a very low opinion of their intelligence before I watched the video.  I am also shocked that Youtube is allowing this to stay on their web service since it is so anti-Hussein and those that run it are noted liberal fanatics who censor conservative causes such as pro-life.

howobamagotelected.com on FOX

I see FOX had the

Video on and most convincing Zogby poll. But MSM is only part of it, there is much more.

I was in an argument at the supermarket with someone who was convinced that conservatism was socialism because he saw it in a college newspaper. Take a look around the net, Google conservatism and you will find

http://polaris.gseis.ucla.edu/pagre/conservatism.html

at the top of the list. Try looking at some of the forums

http://www.nj.com/forums/politics/

http://www.pennlive.com/forums/politics/

http://www.cleveland.com/forums/politics/

granted most are trolls but people are believing this stuff. So it is not only the MSM, it is every where. What would you like to call this, a national effort to keep people ignorant and assassinate the character of the right? It looks that way from here….

Then what do we do, start a national education effort on our own?

I went to the UCLA site and was absolutely shocked beyond all belief that an associate professor of information services at a school like UCLA could get away with publishing such outright lies as this.  I also wrote him an email to let him know.  Since I doubt the administrators here will let me tell you his email address, I’ll tell you how to find it.  Go to the UCLA graduate school of education and information services, department of information services here:  http://is.gseis.ucla.edu/ .  Under faculty/staff search for the author, Phillip E. Agree.  Let him know what you think of his bald-face lies.  To think that a man like this is an associate professor and a huge state university in California and is able to brainwash and indoctrinate college students with these lies and disinformation is beyond belief.  Well, I guess the fact that it is in California has something to do with it.  I encourage you to write to this madman and let him know how wrong he is and that you disapprove of the lies he propagates.

As to the liberal forums, I don’t go to places like that, they scare me.

Global Socialists Toast Victory Over America

By Cliff Kincaid
November 17, 2008

The American people may be losing their jobs and savings, but on Friday night, on the eve of the international financial summit, they provided President Bush and other G20 leaders a lavish banquet that included $300-a-bottle wine, Vermont Brie, eggplant fondue, and rack of lamb. Details of the “culinary delights” and “sumptuous feast” provided to the politicians who departed their black limousines were included in wire service stories. They were toasting the demise of America as a global economic and military superpower and planning to loot another trillion dollars from U.S. taxpayers.

Stories about the feast can only cause rising anger in the United States. A C-SPAN moderator on Sunday morning, hosting a discussion of the growing financial crisis and taking calls, himself commented that there was a lot of anger out there. One caller mentioned taking up arms against the government over the looting of the taxpayers.

More

The title of this story reminds me of how they danced in the streets on 9-11-2001.

But as to the story itself, the government is already spending trillions of mine and your tax money on bailouts for corrupt Wall St. financiers, and now the incoming regime under Hussein wants to spend trillions of our tax money to bailout foreign nations that hate us and want to see us destroyed?  Never even dreamed I would see the day when my once great, mighty nation would bow down to the corrupt, anti-American UN.  Reminds me of that movie “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World.”  Well, the title of it anyway.

Labor’s Role In Detroit’s Disaster

By Henry Lamb
November 17, 2008

While Detroit’s big three auto makers grovel for a tax-funded bailout, 14 U.S-based, international auto makers announced last year’s additional investments of $39.3 billion in 69 facilities that employ 92,700 people with an annual payroll of $6.3 billion. Why are the U.S.-based international auto makers expanding, while Detroit’s big three are grasping for a life-saving handout? The answer, of course, is labor unions; only two facilities of the U.S.-based international auto makers are unionized, one in California, the other in Illinois. All the others are union-free and are doing quite well.

The big three domestic auto makers have already been granted $25 billion to retool. Now, they want another $50 billion, half of which is needed to fund union-mandated benefits.

More

So true, every word of it.  The unions killed their own employers.  While I hate to see the stock in GM I inherited from my mom which she bought in the 60’s become just worthless paper, it would serve the greedy, corrupt unions well if they all lost their jobs and in so doing, the corrupt union bosses lost all power.  But like Mr. Lamb said, the union bosses are in bed with the Dimocraps so they will pass bailout legislation to protect their constituents, the unions, not the automakers or their stockholders, and thus ensure themselves hundreds of thousands of votes.  This will become and endless vortex, a black hole into which tax money will forever bleed unless the stranglehold the unions have on the companies is broken right now, now that we have the chance.  But I won’t hold my breath waiting for it to happen.  When have the Dimcraps ever done the right thing?  What I am afraid of is that the automakers go into receivership and keep operating, the union members get to keep their jobs, the union bosses get to keep their power, the Dimocraps get to keep their voters, and we, the stockholders get screwed out of our investment completely.  Don’t think it can’t happen.  I hate the unions as much as I hate the Dimocraps.

Talking Numbers

By Harris R. Sherline
November 17, 2008

Numberspeak makes most people’s eyes glaze over. But, as has often been said, the devil is in the details and, unfortunately, the only way to understand much of what goes on in government is through the numbers that are released for public consumption.

It’s always been surprising to me how people in government can get away with misrepresenting financial information while those who do the same thing in private life can be prosecuted for fraud. For example, financial reporting: The federal government imposes so many reporting requirements on public companies through the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and various other agencies that it is often difficult, if not impossible, for them to comply, and even when they do, it is usually not easy to interpret. But the government does not have to meet the same standards in their own financial reporting.

More

If we were to imprison everybody who perpetuated this fraud over the years there wouldn’t be enough prisons to hold them.  Kind of makes me want to emigrate to another country that will not have this astronomical debt load in the future.  It is almost unbelievable that this has been allowed to go on for years and hardly anybody is aware of it and those that are don’t care enough to make it known or do anything about it.

Parker: Does Cathy Define America?

By Star Parker
November 17, 2008

I retrieve and open a large envelope from today’s pile of mail.

Inside is a press release announcing “Chik-fil-A Founder to Receive 2008 William E. Simon Prize for Philanthropic Leadership.”

I discover that Chik-fil-A founder is 87-year-old Atlanta businessman S. Truett Cathy. Reading about Cathy, amidst today’s headlines, I am wondering if his story is what America is about, or was about.

Cathy built, and today is owner/operator, of the privately held Chik-fil-A fast food chain, with more than 1400 locations and sales of over $2.6 billion dollars. He’s from humble roots in rural Georgia and opened the first Chik-fil-A store in Atlanta in 1967.

More

What a great man Mr. Cathy must be.  I just decided I’ll be spending a lot more money at Chik-fil-A instead of places like McDonalds, that supported gay rights and counterfeit marriage.  The world would be a far better place if more people were like Mr. Cathy, Mr. Simon, and Mr. Walton, and more corporations were like Chik-fil-A instead of Microsoft and Google and Apple.

The Moral Basis of Capitalism

Capitalism is the only moral social system because it is the only system that respects the freedom of the producers to think and the right of the individual to set his own goals and pursue his own happiness.

by Robert W. Tracinski
The Center for the Advancement of Capitalism

With the fall of communism and the alleged end of the “era of big government,” many commentators and politicians grudgingly acknowledge the practical value of capitalism. The free market, they concede, is the best system for producing wealth and promoting prosperity; the private economy, in Bill Clinton’s words, is the “primary engine of growth.”

But this has not led to the triumph of capitalism. Quite the opposite: Federal taxes as a percentage of gross domestic product are at their highest rate since the Second World War; antitrust assaults on the market’s winners are growing; the regulations on the federal register continue to expand by 60,000 pages per year; even the Republicans’ recent tax cut proposal would only mandate a minor decrease in the projected growth of government revenues. By practically every measure, government interference in the free market is growing.

What is so obvious to us conservatives seems to be absolutely incomprehensible to those not like us, much like what they see as absolute truth is incomprehensible to us.  The only difference is our way has proven itself to work and theirs has failed ever time it has been tried.  But they STILL don’t get it.

Don’t try to excise social conservatives from the GOP

By JONAH GOLDBERG
Copyright 2008 Houston Chronicle
Nov. 14, 2008

By now you’ve probably heard: The GOP is becoming too regional, too white, too old to compete at a national level. Democrats look like a merging of the cast of Rent and Up With People, while Republicans look like diehard fans of Matlock and Murder, She Wrote.

Fine, fine. The GOP needs to win over more Hispanics, young people, suburban women. That sounds perfectly plausible. But what does “win over” mean?

To listen to many pundits and analysts, it means Republicans must become Democrats. The GOP has become too socially conservative, and if it wants to win the support of mainstream voters, it will need to become more socially liberal. To be “economically conservative but socially liberal” is the beginning of wisdom for this school of thought.

More

If you were to excise social conservatives from the GOP there would be no more GOP, plain and simple.  Why would anyone vote for Dimocrap-lite, when they can vote for a real Dimocrap?  The GOP would fade out and die, like the Whigs.  I have read many times where commentators say America is still a conservative country as a whole and wants to be governed by conservatives but the current state of the Republican Party doesn’t fit that bill.  As it is well-known, at least among us, it was the party’s drift to the left of late that has doomed us.  Being moderate just doesn’t work.  How many times does that have to be proven?  The ONLY way back to power and prominence is to embrace the right, both social and fiscal, like Reagan did.

By the way, I always thought fiscal conservatism with social liberalism was called libertarianism.  In fact I went to the Libertarian Party’s website and read their platform and that is exactly what they are.  So if these moderates and RINO’s want it like that, they can leave the GOP and go join the Libertarians, and let us go back to the right, so that we can restore the party to what it once was and what it should be.

Jindal: Something Is Wrong With The GOP

(CBS) When asked about the future course of the Republican Party following their losses on Election Day – losing not only the White House but also considerable ground in the House and Senate – Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana said it is imperative his party offers solutions to voters, and not just be the opposition.

“As Republicans, we need to do three things to get back on track,” he said on CBS’ Face The Nation. “Number one, we have got to stop defending the kind of spending and out-of-control spending that we would never tolerate in the other side. You know, when voters tell us that they trust Democrats more to cut their taxes [and] control spending, that tells you something is wrong with the Republican Party. We’ve got to match our actions with our rhetoric.

“Number two, we’ve got to stop defending the kinds of corruption we would rightfully criticize in the other party. The week before the election, our most senior senator is convicted on federal charges – and that’s only the latest example.

More

I can tell you what is wrong with the GOP in one word, moderates.  Also known as RINO’s, who seem to have taken over when we weren’t looking and led us to disaster.

The GOP should adopt the “scortched earth” policy used by the Democrats over the last 8 years.

It seemed to work for them!!

A scorched earth policy would not work well with conservatives, we are too honest and too moral to stoop to what the Dims and the Libs do.  Besides we would never be able to get away with it like the Dims did because we don’t sleep with the media like they do.  WE would end up being the scorched earth after being annihilated by the MSM.

Obama Declares War on Conservative Talk Radio

Jim Boulet, Jr.
American Thinker

Barack Obama sought to silence his critics during his 2008 campaign. Now, with the ink barely dry on this November’s ballots, Obama has begun a war against conservative talk radio.

Obama is on record as saying he does not plan an exhumation of the now-dead “Fairness Doctrine”. Instead, Obama’s attack on free speech will be far less understood by the general public and accordingly, far more dangerous.

The late community organizer Saul Alinsky taught his followers to strike hard from an unexpected direction, an approach known asAlinsky jujitsu.

Why can’t we use these same tactics they propose to use against our talk radio against their undeniably biased broadcast and cable TV media?

Illegal Immigrants To Get Next Bailout

Ira Mehlman
Investor’s Business Daily

There are disturbing parallels between the financial crisis and America’s illegal immigration crisis. In both cases, the irresponsible acts of the few have become the collective burdens of the majority who behaved responsibly and legally.

During the campaign, President-elect Obama promised to address immigration policy — with amnesty for millions of illegal aliens as its centerpiece — during his first year in office.

Couched euphemistically as “comprehensive immigration reform,” the plan we can expect from the Obama administration will have the earmarks of another massively expensive taxpayer bailout scheme. The minority of people who acted illegally and irresponsibly would benefit, while the vast majority who played by the rules would get stuck with the bills.

More

It’s just the Dimocraps way of adding millions more voters in their debt.  Amnestied illegals will be so grateful they’ll vote Dimocrap for generations.  It’s their way of buying votes except you and me and all the other taxpayers get stuck with the bill.

Obama Wants Israel Back to 1967 Borders

Obama Wants Israel Back to 1967 Borders
Newsmax

President-elect Barack Obama intends to pursue a Mideast peace policy that calls on Israel to revert to its pre-1967 borders in return for official diplomatic recognition by the Arab world.

A senior Obama adviser told the London Times that Obama will throw his support behind a 2002Saudi peace initiative that also has been endorsed by Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, the Arab League, and Israeli President Shimon Peres.

Under the plan:

Israel would be able to veto the return of Arab refugees expelled in 1948.

Israel would restore the Golan Heights to Syria.

Palestinians would be allowed to establish a state capital in east Jerusalem.

According to the senior adviser, Obama has said privately that Israel would be “crazy” to reject such a plan, since it would “give them peace with the Muslim world.”

SOURCE

I wonder how the fools and idiots among the 87% of Jews who voted for Hussein feel about this?  Are they sorry or do they just not give a damn about their homeland, since they voted for this monster in the first place?  Israel is the only true democracy in the Middle East.  They even allow Arabs citizenship.  Can you imagine the Palestinians or any other Arab country allowing Israelis citizenship?  This reminds me of a saying I once hear:  if you disarm the Arabs you will have peace, if you disarm Israel you will have no Israel.  Hussein truly is a fool if he thinks there will ever be peace with the Palestinians just by reverting to the pre-1967 borders.  Israel ceded back Gaza and much of the West Bank for peace and did they get it?  Heck no, things are just as bad, if not worse now than they were before they gave all that land back.  Land swaps don’t work for Palestinians, for them, its all or nothing, total victory or total annihilation.

Response from Pepsi regarding their donation of $500,000 to PFLAG:

Dear Mr. Vanderslice,

Thank you for contacting us at PepsiCo and for sharing your thoughts.

As a company, we made a commitment to promote and support diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our business. We’re proud of the success we’ve had in attracting some of the best and the brightest from around the world and in building a workforce that is truly reflective of the consumers we serve.

In 2008, the PepsiCo Foundation awarded a grant to Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays (PFLAG) to help create and launch a national program specifically designed for workplace environments. The initiative seeks to promote further understanding and equality in the places where people spend much of their time—at work.

At PepsiCo, diversity and inclusion are among the values we have adopted for ourselves in the workplace because we see them as important to our viability and success—as individual employees and as a company. And we believe strongly that these values will enhance other businesses and work environments as well.

I hope this helps to clarify the PepsiCo Foundation’s affiliation with PFLAG.

My counter-response

All it clarifies is that my company literally wasted a half a million dollars thrown away to a group that many Pepsi customers, including families, as well as many Pepsi employees and stock holders, find reprehensible.  I continue to demand the Pepsi not throw away any more money to groups that are anathema to family and promote a lifestyle at odds with how the vast majority of people around the world live and do not support in any way.  I further continue to demand that those involved in this asinine scheme to promote homosexuality for the bankrupt politically correct sake of “diversity” be disciplined for misuse of company, especially in these tough economic times.  This “diversity” and “inclusion” bull crap are nothing but code for promotion of aberrant sexual behavior that many find abhorrent.  Nothing less is satisfactory.  I will continue to be in contact with the PepsiCo Board of Directors as I realize you have nothing to do with these misguided and ignorant policies but perhaps you could send my sentiments back to the ones who count.  If I didn’t own stock in the company I would never buy another product from PepsiCo or any of its subsidiary units as long as I lived.  But at the same time I don’t blame anyone else who does as long as this company is an enemy of the family and promotes immoral sexual deviancy.

AUSTIN – An overwhelming majority of science professors at Texas’ public and private universities say they’re against a state policy requiring that weaknesses in the theory of evolution be covered in public school science classes, according to a new study released Monday.

About 95 percent of those responding to the study by the progressive group Texas Freedom Network said schools should teach “just evolution” in covering the origins of life on earth. The rest said children should learn both evolution and the creationist theory called “intelligent design.”

Of course they do, they’re all part of the liberal pseudo-intellectual elite who run the education system as allies of the socialist and atheist groups intent on destroying the US from within.  They don’t give a damn about what is true or what is right as long as it advances their socialist/humanist agenda.  They’re afraid if you teach intelligent design alongside evolution, kids will be able to see the obvious holes in the evolution theory and might resist the education establishment’s brainwashing and indoctrination.  Despite the lies they would have you believe, evolution is far from being proven and is still just a theory, just like intelligent design.  But like all liberals, they seek to silence those whose viewpoints they can’t argue with because they will lose.  Science is supposed to present different theories and viewpoints and let the stronger survive with the support of experimentation and research.  Yet the liberals stifle all dissent on ID and won’t even let it be discussed.  They don’t even have enough faith in their own theory they support so strongly to let it fend for itself against ID.  Like all liberals, they are the world’s biggest hypocrites, both in free speech and in science teaching.  Screw ‘em, teach both evolution and ID and let the stronger of the two win.  But the evolution crowd is too chickensh!t to ever let that happen because they are too afraid they will lose.

Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban charged with insider trading

04:08 PM CST on Monday, November 17, 2008

By DAVE MICHAELS and BRENDAN M. CASE / The Dallas Morning News

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission charged Mark Cuban on Monday with insider trading stemming from a 2004 sale of stock in an Internet company.

The civil lawsuit alleges that Mr. Cuban avoided losses in excess of $750,000 by selling 600,000 shares he learned would be diluted by a new stock offering. The company, Mamma.com, told Mr. Cuban about the offering on the condition that he keep the information confidential.

I always thought Cuban was a liberal piece of crap.  Now I know he’s a crook also.  The sooner he sells the Mavericks and buys the Cubs, the better.  He ought to feel right at home in Chicago with all the crime and mob bosses there.

Email to Pepsico Board of Directors after I found out they gave HALF A MILLION DOLLARS to PFLAG!

Are you freaking kidding me?  Is this some kind of sick joke?  I own lots of stock in Pepsico and while my stock value is tanking you are sending A HALF MILLIONS DOLLARS to PFLAG of all people?  I am shocked that ANYONE in the company would be so STUPID and IGNORANT as to throw away my company’s money like that and ANGER families and those with sensible values.  What are you, nuts?

Have you completely lost your mind or all sense of direction and morality?  Don’t you know that sponsorships like this with rabid homosexual activists always fail?  Ask Walmart, and more recently McDonald’s.  I CANNOT BELIEVE the company I have loved and held stock in for many, many years is GIVING AWAY MONEY to anti-family, anti-values groups with an agenda to overturn the established, traditional American way of life!  You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!

As a long-term stockholder I DEMAND that Pepsi immediately stop promoting the homosexual agenda and remain neutral in the culture war.  I fully expect you to honor my request. Pepsi should not take sides in a political battle, but put your efforts in producing the finest products you can.  Alliances with those pressing the homo agenda against the will of the American people are a death sentence for any company unless they stop and backtrack.  Again, ask Walmart and McDonalds about their asinine and failed attempts to promote the homosexual agenda.

DON’T MAKE MY STOCK GO LOWER WHILE YOU GIVE AWAY MILLIONS TO ANTI-FAMILY GROUPS!!!!   DON’T GIVE ANY MORE OF MY COMPANY’S MONEY TO GAY ADVOCATES!!!  I DEMAND THAT!!!

Those responsible for this asinine waste of money to such a controversial group that many of our customers oppose should be held fully responsible and punished for their ignorant, misguided actions right away, including demotion and termination.

Since you are supposed to represent me, the stockholder, I thank you for your immediate and unyielding action on this ridiculous matter that never should have occurred in the first place.

Media Should Demand Paulson’s Head

By Cliff Kincaid
November 14, 2008

Media cheerleading for the $700-billion Wall Street bailout―labeled by House Republican Leader John Boehner a “mud sandwich”―may have come to an end. It was big news on the three network newscasts on Wednesday night that Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson basically admitted that the plan hasn’t worked, and that he has changed his mind about what is required to save the U.S. financial system.

Paulson, former CEO of Goldman Sachs, is not only rich; he is supposed to be smart. Our media were surprised by his turnaround. Some are now questioning his credibility and competence. They should go further and demand his resignation.

More

Why bother to demand his resignation?  He’s done in two months anyhow.  Then you’ll get somebody even worse.  More stupid and more socialist.  It is only very, very small consolation that some of the idiots that supported this asinine bailout now see the error of thier ways and the huge mistake they made.  Not that it matters at this point.  Once in power, Hussein and company will just keep throwing more money at it hoping it will go away but all they will be doing is throwing tax money into a voracious, endless black hole.

Palin: GOP’s free spending caused loss

Washington Times

MIAMI | Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin, the spotlight-grabbing star at the gathering of Republican governors, Thursday said carefree spending cost Republicans at the polls, but the party has been loyal to core issues that will win back voters.

In an interview with The Washington Times, Mrs. Palin said Republicans remain strong on national defense, social issues and free markets.

“That is the agenda that is going to build this country back – free-enterprise solutions to the challenges we face, respect for equality and respect for life,” said Mrs. Palin, the vice-presidential candidate on Sen. John McCain’s losing ticket.

But she said Republicans failed to protect the public’s pocketbook, and it cost them when ballots were cast.

More

Well, she’s right but she will have to fight the RNC National Committee, who STILL think the way back to power is to turn their backs on the values, morals, and social conservatives, move to the center and attract more moderate voters.  I cannot believe after the election that they can still even consider subscribing to that theory.  I read where one of the Co-Chairs actually had the audacity to blame social conservatives and values voters, and Sarah Palin in particular, for the election loss instead of the failed centrist ideas of themselves and McCain.  They think that is the only way for the Republicans to survive, to become more like the Dimocraps.  What they are too blind or ignorant to see is that why would someone vote for a Republican who looks, talks, and acts like a Dimocrap when they can vote for a real Dimocrap and have the real thing.  What else they are too ignorant to understand that if it wasn’t for Sarah Palin, McCain wouldn’t have just lost the election, he would have been trounced, annihilated, devastated, blown out of the water.  If they really follow through with this abandonment of the social conservatives and move even more to the center, I can guarantee you they will be signing the death warrant for their own party.  Asinine leaders like this really make me wonder do I even want to be a Republican any more.  If we can’t take the party back from the moderates, the centrists, the RINO’s, I’ll look for another group or party to join and leave the false, pseudo-Republicans to their fate.

Limbaugh: Sanctimonious Stone Throwers

By David Limbaugh
November 14, 2008

God bless Sarah Palin, and shame on elitists from both sides of the aisle who have denigrated, demonized and dissed her. I don’t care how many “smartest people in the room” types offer pseudo-sophisticated analyses to prove she was a drag on the GOP presidential ticket. They are all manifestly and embarrassingly wrong — and woefully out of touch — which is par for the course for elitists.

Speaking of elitists, it’s time to address their contempt for rural and southern America, particularly their ongoing smear of the South (and, truth be told, rank-and-file conservative Republicans) as racist.

For all the accolades Barack Obama is receiving, he should acknowledge a bit of egg on his face for invoking race with his failed prediction that his opponents would play the race card. “They’re going to try to … make you scared of me,” he said. “You know, ‘He’s not patriotic enough; he’s got a funny name.’ You know, ‘He doesn’t look like all those other presidents on those dollar bills.”

More

Who are the racists now?  Those who are not white and hate white people.  I am from the South and my best friend is black.  (And he almost voted for McCain, he was going to until the last few weeks of the campaign when the economy tanked and he lost 40% of his stock portfolio value.)

Anyhow, David Limbaugh is absolutely correct in every statement he made.  Living in the South I have seen it and lived it.  The snobs from the Northeast think we’re all hillbillies and hicks and still ride horses, even if we live in the city.  Since I came from Texas, they think my family all has oil wells, wear cowboy boots, listen to country music, and so on.  They accuse us of racial stereotypes, when they are a million times worse with their regional stereotypes.

What is the only group it is completely safe to make fun of without any fear of any repercussions whatsoever?  White men.  It is anathema to make fun of any social group in the world except for white men.  Against them it is open season.  Especially if you are white, poor, from the South, and rural.  People in public make fun of rural, white Southerners saying things they would never even dream of saying about any other group because they would either get their butts kicked or get crucified in the media, yet the poor, white, rural, Southern man has no ACLU or Jesse Jackson or Al Sharpton to stand up for them so they have to sit there and take it.  Yes, racism is still alive and well in these United States but it is most racist against the aforementioned group who has no one to defend them.

The entire time I was in college I had a summer job working with just these same type of men, and I would take one of them over a hundred pseudo-intellectuals from the Northeast.  They may not have had the book learning of my liberal college professor but they had ten times more common sense and understood how the real world worked better than any academician.  And while they may have had a few faults, like drinking too much, they were far more moral and honest than anybody I worked with at the college, or since then for that matter.  They opposed everything evil the liberal college professors supported, believed in God, marriage, family, less taxes, less government, and so on.  In summary, even though they may have had a high school education at the most, to me they were smarter than and better than many of the liberal educators I had to endure at school to get a degree, some of which’s only goal seemed to be a liberal indoctrination.

Sorry, looks like I got carried away and rambled on again.  But at least that is the truth as I see it.

More about Hussein’s lack of a proven birth certificate to certify he is an American citizen

All he, Hussein, has to do is put up a real, incontrovertible, unaltered, legitimate birth certificate and all this would go away.  But he hasn’t or won’t.  Why?  I want to know and so do a lot of other people.  Sure, there may be nothing to this as some of our esteemed moderators keep saying, but if that is the case, again, why not just show us the real deal and be done with it?  Then I’ll forget about it and go on.  But the more they keep delaying, denying, obfuscating, spinning, and so on, the deeper my suspicion grows.  This is like a fire they could easily put out but they won’t even bring out a hose, which more and more, as time goes by, makes me think they’ve got something to hide.  Perhaps their tactic is to keep hoping this will go away and they will not have to answer to it, but I too believe whatever there is to hide or to be found out about this will never come to light because it will be buried or destroyed or covered up by the Hussein thug machine and the complicit press.  Maybe in 50 or 100 years, assuming the country lasts that long, our descendents will find out that Hussein never should’ve been president since he was born as a Kenyan.  They say the truth will always be found out, but for this, it might be found out much too late.

Reagan: The Republican Party Is A Grass-Roots Party

By Michael Reagan
November 14, 2008

There are a lot of meetings going on among some Republicans trying to figure out what went wrong on Election Day and how the party needs to respond. None of them involve what the media like to call the base, the folks at the grass roots whose votes, after all, determine the outcome of elections.

The gatherings get a lot of media attention because the media mistakenly believe that the people attending them represent the grass roots of the GOP.

They don’t. What they represent is the coterie who led the party into eight years of ignoring the traditions and principles of the party pursued so avidly by the Reagan administration, with which they have the effrontery to identify themselves.

More

These moderates, centrists, and RINO’s are too stupid to realize that it was trying to play to the middle that destroyed the party.  Even after all the damning evidence plain to anyone with even a modest amount of intelligence, they are too ignorant to recognize that trying to be moderate is a sure-fire, guaranteed recipe not only for defeat but for disaster at the polls.  Why would someone vote for a Republican who looks, talks, and acts like a Dimocrap when they can vote for a real Dimocrap and have the real thing.  As many of us already know and agree on, the only way for the party to survive is to return to its true conservative values and roots, both social and fiscal.  Anything else is party suicide.  I read where one of the Co-Chairs of the RNC actually had the audacity to blame social conservatives and values voters, and Sarah Palin in particular, for the election loss instead of the failed centrist ideas of themselves and McCain.  If these people get their way it will be the death knell of the Republican Party.  What we need is a grass-roots mutiny to throw these bums out and get some Reagan Republicans back in charge after the massive failures of this moderate, illogical, ignorant, and failed leadership.  If anyone can find someone like that, I’ll sign up in a heartbeat to help them get rid of the bankrupt leadership we have now that are too vain or too blind to see that it is their own mistakes that have doomed the party for the time being.  If these people get their way, stay in power, and move the party even further to the left in the name of centrism and inclusion, then I will have no choice but to abandon the only political party I have even been associated and find another group or party that shares my values.  I am sure many others like me will do the same and then these ‘leaders’ will be leading nothing but the breeze, because the Republican Party will be left too small, splintered, and powerless to ever compete again.  Some say that will ensure liberal, Dimocrap governments in perpetuity, but I would counter that by saying if the Republicans act like Dimocraps just to get the votes and the power, what is the difference?

Malkin: Hank Paulson, Naked Emperor

By Michelle Malkin
November 14, 2008

Treasury Secretary Hank Paulson finally confirmed what lonely bailout opponents tried to tell the American public all along: The man doesn’t know what he’s doing.

Paulson held a bazooka to taxpayers’ heads. He groveled on his knees in front of Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi. He lured leaders from both political parties into linking arms in a panicked Chicken Little line dance for the beleaguered mortgage industry. Paulson demanded an unprecedented $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program for the good of the country. For the health of the housing market. For the survival of the economy. No time for deliberation. No time to review the failures of such interventionist approaches around the world. Now, now, now!

To quote Pat Benatar, in a really great song by the way, “It’s a little too little, it’s a little too late.”  The damage to the country, the tax payers, the economy, and the budget has already been done.  The slippery, ever-accelerating slide to Socialism has already begun, ready to turn into an avalanche once Hussein takes the throne.  To admit now that they royally screwed up is way too little compensation for being proven right all along about what a horrendous idea the bailout was to begin with.  Much like entitlement programs that don’t work, once you start it is virtually impossible to stop them.  Once you give Jack a few billion, Joe says he needs a few billion too, then Harry comes up and says it ain’t fair you gave Jack and Joe several billions and I didn’t get any, and so on.  You can already see this happening with GM, Ford, Chrysler, and more banks and businesses lining up with their eager, greedy hands out.  You will always run out of money before you run out of those standing in line for a handout.

Chavez: Obama’s School Choice

By Linda Chavez
November 14, 2008

Democratic politicians like to see themselves as champions of public education; but when it comes to picking schools for their own children to attend, their support disappears. President-elect Obama is no different than hundreds of other Democratic elected officials across the nation, from members of Congress to big-city mayors and city council members. The president-elect’s daughters have been in private schools in Chicago — and all indications are that they will enroll in one of Washington’s elite private schools when the family makes its big move to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

That’s too bad because it insulates the Obamas from what other families must deal with: a failing public school system that resists genuine reform. And in Washington’s case, it deprives a courageous new school chancellor of what would be her most powerful constituents, the First Family.

I’ve worked in education for 20 years both in Texas and Florida and I can definitely testify that teachers’ unions are as much of a problem ruining education in the US as politicians and government.  Just about every teacher union I know of is rabidly liberal and enslaved and beholden to the Dimocrapic Party and other liberal organizations.  As a near-insider I can verify that the unions don’t give a damn about the students, all they care about is keeping themselves in power and keeping the money flowing to the union so they can spread more of their liberal lies and propaganda.  Case in point, the liberal teachers union in California that donated at least a million, maybe more to support Prop. 8, without even consulting its membership.  I continually refused to join any local or state teachers group affiliated with the NEA because they are slanted so far to the left that if they moved just a little bit further left they would fall off the board.  Luckily in Texas there is a much smaller, rival teachers group in opposition to the NEA’s Texas union, though it seems they still both work together to further liberal education issues.

My solution is to abolish all national control over education and leave that to the states.  Then the states need to cede nearly all control to the local jurisdiction.  That way conservative towns and districts can teach conservatively if they so choose without any rules, laws, or interference from the state and the feds demanding liberal education in such matters as socialism, liberal revision of history, and gay rights indoctrination.  Of course that would still leave the liberal areas such as the Northeast and California with staunchly liberal school systems but that is already the way it is now so it will be no change.  Only the conservatives communities will have a choice to teach conservatively instead of being mandated by Big Brother to teach liberal propaganda.

Obama top aide apologizes to Arabs

By AP STAFF
Associated Press
November 14, 2008

CHICAGO (AP) — President-elect Barack Obama’s White House chief of staff apologized to the Arab-American community on Thursday for remarks his father made to an Israeli newspaper.

Last week, Benjamin Emanuel talked about his son Rahm Emanuel’s new job and told the Israeli daily Ma’ariv that “obviously he’ll influence the president to be pro-Israel. Why wouldn’t he? What is he, an Arab? He’s not going to be mopping floors at the White House.”

That prompted an outcry from the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, which called on Rahm Emanuel, who is Jewish, to condemn the “unacceptable smear.”

I am sorry but I just love it when I see the libs and the Dims fight each other and hurt each others’ feelings.  Then they kiss and make up and it is all better.  It gives me a much needed laugh.

But it does raise serious concerns about free speech when the Dims not only seek to suppress our right to it, but also to others even within their own ranks.  Very disturbing indeed.

Groups line up for another bailout

By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS
Associated Press
November 14, 2008

WASHINGTON (AP) — All aboard, there may be another bailout train leaving the station on Capitol Hill.

Talk of a $25 billion emergency loan package for the Big Three carmakers that could see a vote in a postelection session of Congress next week has a wave of business lobbyists clamoring for action — and a slice of the pie.

They’re dusting off their call lists and preparing for a furious round of vote-hunting that comes little more than a month after lawmakers approved the $700 billion bailout designed for banks and other financial firms.

Like I said up above, this is just the tip of the iceberg, just the beginnings, the small precursors to the Big Quake. To keep getting votes, the pols on both sides will keep voting for more and more handouts at every turn

The damage to the country, the tax payers, the economy, and the budget has already been done.  The slippery, ever-accelerating slide to Socialism has already begun, ready to turn into an avalanche once Hussein takes the throne.  The bailout has already proven to be a horrendous failure as admitted by its chief operator and promoter, Mr. Paulson, who says in so many words he doesn’t know what he is doing.  This is much like entitlement programs that don’t work, once you start it is virtually impossible to stop them.  The end result will be an insolvent and bankrupt country, powerless and at the mercy of those who have the money and who hate us.  Like the Arabs and China.  Thank you very much, Dimocraps and Republicans who voted to give my country away.  If there is a US after this left to pick up the pieces they will curse you and hate you until the end of time.

Open season on Mormons in California?

Hot Air
Ed Morrissey

Mormons have been under attack in California since the passage of Proposition 8. The LDS church backed the winning measure that restored the “one man, one woman” definition of marriage to the state constitution after the state Supreme Court overturned it as a statute. From profane billboards to violent protests, the anti-8 demonstrators have focused their ire on Mormons, and now two envelopes of white powder have turned up in the mail at the Mormon Temples in Los Angeles and Salt Lake City:

The FBI says a letter containing a suspicious white powder sent to a Mormon temple in the Westwood area of Los Angeles was not hazardous.

The temple was evacuated Thursday while a hazardous materials crew tested the substance and determined it was non-toxic.

Believe me there is a lot I could say about this, before I am forcibly silenced by the Hussein regime’s Thought Police and Mind Crimes Unit, but I will say this much.  Forces of evil are just using this same sex marriage issue as a vicious excuse to come down hard on churches and people of religion, through brutal, violent attacks, vandalism, theft, intimidation, and so on.  Same sex marriage is not even the issue anymore it is just a front to silence, overthrow, and destroy all church and Biblical presence in our country and our culture.  They say we hate them, which is a lie of course, it is them who hate us with a passion far higher than any they could ever imagine us having against them.  I really, really hope that the public finally sees these rabid, gay radicals for the hooligans and hoodlums they are and instead of a fight for their imaginary ‘rights’ it turns into a backlash against them and they lose all favor and sympathy in the eyes of the public.  I am sure the media would censor, bury, and cover up all instances of gay thugs attacks against churches and opponents if they could but the gays have gotten too out of control, too over the top, and too renegade to ignore, even for the sympathetic, colluding media and press.

If a gang of these thugs and hoodlums tried to take over my church like they did the one in Michigan where the cops did nothing I am not quite sure what I would do but I would probably wind up in jail myself.  That is the double standard and hypocrisy of the present times.  If a gang of anti-gay protestors attacked an all gay church, all Hell would break loose, they would call in the police, the FBI, the CIA, the National Guard, ATF, everybody in law enforcement they could think of.  Then the anti-gay attackers would be so well and thoroughly fried and crucified in the press it wouldn’t matter that they would be so well prosecuted that they would be sent to prison so long they would never see the light of day again, if they were not executed.  Yet a gang of gay thugs can attack a church in the exact same manner and not only get away with it but be allowed by the police to walk away scot-free without so much as a ticket.  This country and this world are going to Hell in more ways than one.

Tolerance fails T-shirt test

Chicago Tribune

As the media keeps gushing on about how America has finally adopted tolerance as the great virtue, and that we’re all united now, let’s consider the Brave Catherine Vogt Experiment.

Catherine Vogt, 14, is an Illinois 8th grader, the daughter of a liberal mom and a conservative dad. She wanted to conduct an experiment in political tolerance and diversity of opinion at her school in the liberal suburb of Oak Park.

She noticed that fellow students at Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School overwhelmingly supported Barack Obama for president. His campaign kept preaching “inclusion,” and she decided to see how included she could be.

More

What I wonder is how it would have turned out different if she had worn the ‘Obama Girl’ shirt first and then the ‘McCain Girl’ shirt the next day.  The bias of the teachers is what is most appalling but I am afraid I have gotten use to that.  Also, I beg to differ, if she would’ve done this experiment in a red state in a school in a conservative area, the effects would have been astronomically different.  It is a well-known fact among us, at least I would hope, but ignored by the corrupt, liberal media that conservatives are far more tolerant of opinions different from their own than the liberals would ever hope to be.  Otherwise we wouldn’t be in the pickle we’re in now by letting too many things go and the liberals getting away with so much.  It is the libs that lay claim to the tolerance label but they are the hypocrites, and the conservatives are unable to persuade anyone but themselves that this is in fact a bald-faced lie.  The media sure don’t want to hear it and refuse to recognize its validity.  So in a ‘red’ setting the brave girl would have had it a thousand times easier than trying this in a ‘blue’ area.  I know first hand, I came from a red area and now I have to live and work in almost exactly the same type of setting this experiment took place in, so I know thereof from whence I speak.

Gun Owners Not Welcome on Obama’s White House Team?

Gun Owners Not Welcome on Obama’s White House Team? – By Susan Jones, Senior Editor

(CNSNews.com) – President-elect Barack Obama’s transition team is showing its hostility toward lawful firearm owners by “weeding out” job applicants who own firearms themselves, a Second Amendment group says.

The Illinois State Rifle Association (ISRA) notes that question 59 – part of a 63-item questionnaire given to Obama administration job applicants – asks for information about firearms owned by the applicant and his or her family.

Found in the questionnaire’s “Miscellaneous” section, question 59 reads, “Do you or any members of your immediate family own a gun? If so, provide complete ownership and registration information. Has the registration ever lapsed? Please also describe how and by whom it is used and whether it has been the cause of any personal injuries or property damage.”

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry at this.  I don’t even know why I was surprised.  Now I can die and go to Heaven, I’ve seen everything.  Better buy those guns while you can and hide them before the Day of Reckoning comes.

Drugmaker ads to target Obama idea

Washington Times

The nation’s largest pharmaceutical lobbying group is preparing a multimillion-dollar public relations campaign to tout the importance of free-market health care and undercut an expected push by the Obama administration for price controls of prescription drugs.

The effort, which will include a national television commercial scheduled to begin airing next week, is the first salvo in what likely will be a huge battle over health care reform during the Obama presidency.

Other major industries are also gearing up for the fight, including big businesses and insurance companies. But the stakes are especially high for drugmakers, which stand to lose as much as $30 billion in revenue if President-elect Barack Obama’s plan to let the federal government negotiate Medicare drug prices is implemented, according to one independent report.

Plan Would Sidestep Electoral College

By NGUYEN HUY VU
Associated Press
February 11, 2008

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) – If John R. Koza gets his way, American voters will never again have to wonder about the workings of the Electoral College and why it decides who sits in the White House.

Koza is behind a push to have states circumvent the odd political math of the Electoral College and ensure that the presidency always goes to the winner of the popular vote.

Basically, states would promise to award their electoral votes to the candidate with the most support nationwide, regardless of who carries each particular state.

“We’re just coming along and saying, ‘Why not add up the votes of all 50 states and award the electoral votes to the 50-state winner?’” said Koza, chairman of National Popular Vote Inc. “I think that the candidate who gets the most votes should win the office.”

More

I think a better plan would be to change how the primary system works, so that small states like Iowa and New Hampshire don’t have such an inordinate amount to say about who the eventual nominee is.  State primaries should be cycled through so that each state, or group of states gets first say now and then on a regular schedule.  As we all know, as it is now the nomination is all but wrapped up by the time some states even get the chance to hold a primary.  We saw some rebellion against this system this year when Michigan and Florida defied the parties and held their primaries earlier than they were supposed to.  I see more and more of this rebellion on the behalf of states to increase their influence as time goes by and an eventual revamping of the entire primary system so that it is more fair and more stats have a better say in the process.  For many reasons already listed here and elsewhere, we really need to keep the Electoral College system as it is.

I also read where some people in some states are also trying an end-run around the Constitution by trying to have laws passed where a state’s electoral votes are allocated on a percentage basis based on the popular vote of that state.  For example if a state had 10 electoral votes and candidate A got 50 percent of the votes in that state, he would get 6 of the states electoral votes.  If candidates B and C each received 40% and 10% of the vote respectively, they would receive 4 and 1 electoral votes.  I don’t know how they plan to address uneven percentages though.  I don’t think you are allowed to give a percentage of a vote to a presidential candidate in the Electoral College.

Salvato: Understanding The Concept Of Reform

By Frank Salvato
November 14, 2008

Country first. It’s a great concept and one that has been — for all practical purposes — lacking inside the beltway since before the advent of the spin doctor. Truthfully, both major political parties and their elected and appointed leadership have been delinquent in executing the spirit of “country first.” Both have placed the health of their respective political parties before good government and their quest for political power above the needs and demands of their constituents and the good of the nation. Both should be admonished for violating their oaths and betraying the American people.

Politicians make bad Statesmen, perhaps the understatement of the millennium. The ironic point about this truth is that in order to achieve the opportunity to demonstrate statesmanship you must first transverse the political process. Therefore, it is quite rare to experience the clarity of statesmanship in government.

All very, very true but how do you get it done?  How can you hold your representatives accountable when there are countless other fools and idiots who keep sending them back to office?  How do you hold the corrupt, bias media accountable when there are too many fools and idiots who believe every word and can’t be persuaded otherwise and still buy the drivel?  It is a daunting task, well worth the effort, but it is like trying to move a mountain one pebble at a time.

Bush Shows Obama The Way

By Lawrence Kudlow
November 14, 2008

President George W. Bush came out fighting for free markets with a strong and stirring defense of American capitalism on the eve of the G-20 World Economic Conference. Stocks soared 550 points Thursday, as Bush’s luncheon speech was played live on all the major cable networks. It was as though Bush was trying to leave an economic primer to his successor-elect Barack Obama. Markets cheered because it’s the best thing they’ve heard in many weeks.

Here’s one of several great passages from Bush: “At its most basic level, capitalism offers people the freedom to choose where they work and what they do … the dignity that comes with profiting from their talent and hard work. … The free-market system also provides the incentives that lead to prosperity — the incentive to work, to innovate, to save and invest wisely, and to create jobs for others.”

It is very sad, but Hussein will not listen, no matter how sound the advice is and how it has proven itself over time while other systems crumble and fall by the wayside.  Anything with the label conservative or Republican is by definition wrong and evil according to Hussein and his disciples.  They will lead the country ever deeper into the failed practices of socialism and communism and when that fails, fascism.  Just look at who he associates with, who his mentors were, who his friends and advisors are.  There is not a capitalist in the bunch, just radicals, socialists, communists, liberals, gays, terrorists, and hate-mongers.  As good as Bush’s advice is he would have better luck preaching to the breeze for all the results his wise words will have.  But at least he had the guts and dignity to try.  I have to appreciate him for that alone.

Social Security Administration looks at Dallas schools’ practice of issuing fake numbers

09:37 PM CST on Friday, November 14, 2008

By TAWNELL D. HOBBS / The Dallas Morning News

The Social Security Administration is looking into DISD’s practice of issuing fake Social Security numbers to employees hired from foreign countries and will determine whether a formal investigation is needed, Wes Davis, the agency’s spokesman in Dallas, said Friday.

Mr. Davis said the review would look at whether there was any criminal intent by the Dallas Independent School District and whether further investigation or prosecution is called for by the U.S. attorney’s office. He said he hasn’t heard of any other school districts issuing false Social Security numbers.

Are you kidding me?  Will the criminality and corruption of the DISD ever end?  Disband it and start all over from scratch with new administration, new staff, new teachers, new everything.  This piece of crap is so broke there is no way to fix it.

Germany to Obama: No More Troops for Afghanistan

Dusseldorf, Germany (CNSNews.com) – Germany has been effusively supportive of Barack Obama – opinion polls showed he had the backing of 85 percent of the population – but early signs of strain are showing with Chancellor Angela Merkel. She has warned the president-elect that she will turn down any request for more German troops in Afghanistan.

Merkel’s coalition partners in the socialist Social Democratic Party (SPD) are also sounding warning bells. In the build-up to national elections next September, however, the government is downplaying any potential for differences with Obama.

Looks like the honeymoon, or the love-fest, or whatever you want to call it between the Germans and Hussein is already over and he won’t be in office for another two and a half months.  That marriage didn’t last long.  Hopefully all those other countries that bowed down and worshipped at his feet will rebuff him now as well, now that Bush is on the way out and they don’t have to worry about getting him elected anymore.  Maybe it’s good other countries won’t be cooperating with him.  That would weaken his influence worldwide and at home as well and he won’t be able to spread his socialist/communist agenda overseas as much.  Of course that could just be wishful thinking since he already has plans for the biggest foreign aid giveaway of taxpayer money in history.

Oped: Memo To Employees: It’s Time To Share The Pain

By Matt Towery
November 13, 2008

Like the heads of so many businesses, I hope that our new U.S. president can somehow turn around this economic disaster we are facing. But because of the policies he is advancing — taxes for families earning $250,000 a year (that’s families, not individuals), potential health care mandates, and who knows what else, I, like CEOs of most small-to-medium sized businesses, must take preemptive measures.

Unlike most media companies, we are avoiding laying off employees. But we are having to cut their pay and benefits. After all, we will all be making less.

Many of my employees and contract workers supported Sen. Obama. I admired the fact that they wanted change. And I do believe that perhaps, in the end, his “spread the wealth” plan might just give folks enough extra cash to get them shopping and spending again.

This writer’s optimism borders on naivety.  While I admire his can-do attitude and pro-American spirit, I fear the harsh reality of a Hussein regime will be far, far worse than what Mr. Towery can ever imagine, if Hussein is able to put into place everything he bragged about in the election.  I guess I am more of a doom and gloom man myself.  I tend to look at the dark side of what can happen and then hope to be pleasantly surprised when it doesn’t.  Kind of like the old saying, hope for the best and prepare for the worst.  That way you can never be disappointed that much because that was what you expected, but can still be pleasantly surprised if somehow some things do turn out right or go your way.

Oped: Sarah Palin Saved Gop From Landslide Defeat

By Dick Morris
November 13, 2008

As Richard Nixon wrote, “history is written by liberals,” but the story of the 2008 campaign is too important to cede to them the analysis of what happened. A close analysis of the returns indicates several key realities:

a) Sarah Palin made a vast difference in McCain’s favor. Compared to 2004, McCain lost 11 points among white men, according to the Fox News exit poll, but only four points among white women. Obama’s underperformance among white women, evident throughout the fall, may be chalked up, in large part, to the influence of Sarah Palin. She provided a rallying point for women who saw their political agenda in terms larger than abortion. She addressed the question of what it is like to be a working mother in today’s economy and society and resonated with tens of millions of white women who have not responded to the more traditional, and liberal, advocates for their gender.

Oped: Revenge Of The Boxes

By Debra Saunders
November 13, 2008

Ever since California voters recalled Democratic Gov. Gray Davis in 2003 and replaced him with Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sacramento has been passing gimmicky state budgets that did not raise taxes, but also kicked structural deficit spending into the next year.

Well, the party’s over.

In September, Schwarzenegger signed another kick-the-shortfall budget. Then the Wall Street meltdown caused capital gains to disappear, rich people’s income to retract and state revenues to shrink. As the Legislative Analyst reported this week, the state budget shortfall could reach $28 billion over the next two years. State Department of Finance spokesman H.D. Palmer noted the drop in state revenue represents “not a trend, but a seismic event.”

I don’t know what they are even worried about.  Didn’t Hussein promise to take care of everything?  According to Wanda the Moocher or whatever her name was, Hussein was going to pay all of her bills, pay for her house, pay her to sit and home and do nothing, “everything gon’ be free!” she said.  Why can’t the same be true of California?  Hussein, the Magic Man will create money out of thin air to pay all of Arnold and California’s massive budget overruns, just like he will for Wanda, so why worry?  Be happy and keep spending!  Hussein is the answer to all the world’s problems, according to his disciples.

Reply from KPSP:

The “anger and hatred” comment was an unfortunate ad-lib by one of our anchors.  It did not reflect a personal bias or an agenda…just an attempt, I assume to try to make an even-handed comment amidst an unexpected and  very scary situation.  It is our priority in this newsroom to be independent truth tellers…but we’re also human beings…and mistakes do happen.  Thank you for taking the time to offer your observations…we appreciate hearing from viewers, both pro and con.  I’m sorry we disappointed you on this occasion.  Our goal will be to do better next time around.
Best,

And my reply back:

I am sorry but I must completely disagree with you.  “Even-handed comment?”  Are you kidding me?  As a supposed reporter and anchor he had the duty to tell the truth and tell it like it is, not sugar-coat it for the gays and imply their behavior was even in the same universe as that of the poor old lady.  He was doing nothing more than making a poor and foolish attempt to excuse the inexcusable behavior of the anarchistic gay radicals that resulted in a near riot.  Any fool or idiot could see that the rabid gay protestors were totally out of control and could at any moment resort to violence, while the poor old lady was the picture definition of grace, peace, and love to her enemies.  To attempt to give an “even-handed comment” about such obvious out of control protestors with the capacity for violence is about the worst possible excuse you could give for this incompetent’s total and complete lack of any intelligence or powers of observations.  Where did you get him, the Home for the Blind or the Home for the Mentally Impaired?  How can you dare call that an “even-handed comment” based on the video when the poor old lady, and even your reporter, looked to be scared for their lives?  To any moron with even a minimum of intelligence it was beyond obvious that the homosexual anarchists were the ones at fault and responsible for ALL the “hate.”  Hell, even a six year old could tell you who the bad guys were in this clip.  To come up with such a lame and flimsy, really pathetic, excuse for Kris Long’s inexcusable comment is absolutely absurd.  All this does is strenuously reinforce my belief that not only Long but also the station as a whole has an undeniable bias in favor of foaming-at-the-mouth gay radicals and against Christians, old ladies, and anybody else who has the guts to stand up for what they believe in, especially Prop 8 and the sanctity of marriage.

You need to apologize to the lady, to your viewers, and to those who are against homosexual rights for your bias and that of your inept anchor.  And he should be dealt with much more appropriately.  Did you even slap him on the wrist?  Did you even tell him “no more of that?”  Or did you just let it go at nothing?  I still don’t see how you can have such an ignorant buffoon as this as an anchor and still consider yourself in the TV news business.  It reflects poorly on yourself, your station, your viewers, and your city.

On the bright side, I do thank you and appreciate your prompt and personal reply to my message of concern and allowing me to present my views.  I hope all goes well with you, you seem to be a good guy.  I do hope things go better for you and your station after you take care of this unfortunate and disgraceful episode, regardless of what I believe has gone wrong lately.

Email to Gov. Schwarzenegger

Dear Arnold,

What the Hell is wrong with you?  Have you completely lost your mind and all sense of morality and reality?  As Governor you swore to uphold the Constitution of the State of California.  That same constitution you swore to uphold now includes protection for true marriage and against counterfeit marriage.  Yet you in your misguided zeal to support rabid radicals advocate overturning the same constitution you swore to uphold with liberal judges legislating from the bench against the will of the People of California?  Again, what the Hell is wrong with you?  Are you telling the people of California their will doesn’t count, their voice doesn’t count, their votes don’t count, because you don’t care what they say, you are going to support the will of a few rabid, destructive, undisciplined protestors with a mob of violence mentality over the will of the people who went to the polls peacefully to have their voices heard and their votes counted.  And you want to overturn their vote?  What the Hell is wrong with you?

In addition you lend public and moral to these rabid, radical, lawless protestors telling them it is okay to have anarchy in the street, disrupt the state, harass, intimidate, and hurt innocent people, attack and destroy private and public property, invade and disrupt churches and threaten churchgoers.  What the Hell is wrong with you?  You know damn well if these were Catholics, Mormons, or Christians protesting in the streets with the same level of hate and violence you would call in the National Guard and police to bust them up and make mass arrests.  Yet since it is gay protestors you encourage their lawless behavior with your support and public comments.  Total insanity on your part.  What the Hell is wrong with you?  You are advocating the crimes, disruption, anarchy, hate, and racism on the part of these violent radicals.  What does that make you?  I will tell you – a criminal, a racist, an anarchist, an anti-Christian, an anti-Catholic, an anti-Mormon, a hatemonger, a socialist, a liberal, a communist, and a radical.  What the Hell is wrong with you?  You are supposed to be a Republican but time and time again you always show your true colors.  You are a RINO, in reality you are just as corrupt, dirty, nasty, and liberal as any Democrat, if not worse.  Why do you even bother with the charade of continuing to call yourself a Republican?  You are no more a Republican in philosophy and actions than Kennedy, Pelosi, Reid, Clinton, Carter, Frank, and yes, Hussein.

Now what can you do to correct all the horrendous mistakes you have made so far?

1)  Immediately and publicly accept the results of the will of the People of California as expressed in their vote on Nov. 4.

2)  Immediately and publicly rebuke the lawlessness and terrorist acts of the rabid, radical gay anarchist, and put an end to it.

3)  Immediately use your powers of law enforcement to protect the lives, health, property, and constitutionally guaranteed rights of those targeted by the radical gay terrorists.  This includes all churches, church bodies and organizations, and individuals whose views differ from that of the gay terrorists.  The protection of these people and the rule of law and order are of paramount importance in this crisis in your governorship, which you have screwed up terribly so far with your asinine support of the radical terrorists and illegal and unconstitutional overturning of the amendment by immoral, liberal activist judges.

YOU screwed it up, Arnold, by not stepping in to stop this madness so YOU have to fix it.  Right now.   Otherwise your legacy as governor will be that of an ineffective, inept, anarchist who could not control any of the violence in the state that he himself helped to instigate.

Its not too late, Arnold.  Accept the vote and tell the radical protestors to do the same.  Stop encouraging more violence and stop suggesting that activist judges legislate from the bench to defy the will of the people.  Use police and if necessary, National Guard, to protect innocent civilians and churches being victimized and terrorized by the mobs of lawless, violent protestors you encouraged.

I am very, very disappointed with your asinine and ignorant, unlawful and immoral actions so far.  Who the Hell do you think you are to defy the will of the people over a few losers who are unable to accept the fact that they lost the vote?  You know damn well if those in favor of the amendment would’ve lost you would see absolutely NONE of this violence and anarchy.  The nation is watching you to see what you will do.  Will you do the right thing or will you continue to screw up your state and in so doing the nation?

Fears of Democrat crackdown lead to gun sales boom

Nov 8, 12:10 AM EST
By DENA POTTER
Associated Press Writer

MIDLOTHIAN, Va. (AP) — When 10-year-old Austin Smith heard Barack Obama had been elected president, he had one question: Does this mean I won’t get a new gun for Christmas?

That brought his mother, the camouflage-clad Rachel Smith, to Bob Moates Sports Shop on Thursday, where she was picking out that special 20-gauge shotgun – one of at least five weapons she plans to buy before Obama takes office in January.

Like Smith, gun enthusiasts nationwide are stocking up on firearms out of fears that the combination of an Obama administration and a Democrat-dominated Congress will result in tough new gun laws.

“I think they’re going to really try to crack down on guns and make it harder for people to try to purchase them,” said Smith, 32, who taught all five of her children – ages 4 to 10 – to shoot because the family relies on game for food.

Last month, as an Obama win looked increasingly inevitable, there were more than 108,000 more background checks for gun purchases than in October 2007, a 15 percent increase. And they were up about 8 percent for the year as of Oct. 26, according to the FBI.

Obama’s Illegal Alien Auntie: The Rest Of The Story

By Michelle Malkin
November 12, 2008

I hope Barack Obama remembered to thank George Bush on behalf of his illegal alien aunt this week. The lame-duck Republican president did the Democratic president-elect a generous — and dangerous — favor right before Election Day: Putting politics above homeland security, the Bush administration ordered immigration authorities across the country to halt all deportation enforcement actions until the campaign season was over.

According to my sources, the Bush administration issued a 72-hour cease-and-desist order to all fugitive apprehension teams to spare Obama embarrassment over his Kenyan half-aunt, Zeituni Onyango. The Associated Press reported on Nov. 1 that Onyango was a deportation evader — one of an estimated 700,000 illegal alien absconders who have ignored orders from immigration judges to leave the country. The wire report mentioned that the Department of Homeland Security distributed “an unusual nationwide directive within Immigration and Customs Enforcement requiring any deportations prior to Tuesday’s election to be approved at least at the level of ICE regional directors.”

More

I truly lost all of what little respect I had left for President Bush when he issued this order.  He had very little left at all when he sat on his hands and did nothing during the election about ACORN fraud and questionable and potentially illegal fundraising by Hussein and the Dimocraps.  He more or less surrendered and gave the election away.

Mexico’s War: The Iraq Next Door

Investor’s Business Daily

The Hemisphere: The accelerating drug war in Mexico cries out for more attention. The horrific violence signals something already too big for Mexico to fight alone. It will spread north. The U.S. can’t afford to wait.

As Americans went to the polls last week, Juan Camilo Mourino, Mexico’s interior secretary, was falling to Earth over the capital in a fiery crash that killed him and 13 others.

Investigators are trying to determine why the helicopter carrying Mexico’s second-highest official failed, but many think it was the work of drug cartels that Mexico has been at war with since 2006.

If traffickers were indeed responsible, they have sent a signal that they’re coming for the government and can take down Mexico’s leaders anywhere, anytime. If it was an accident, there’s the disturbing implication that Mexico’s aircraft are deficient even for its leaders. Either way, the U.S. ought to do more to help.

More

If this isn’t the best argument yet for completely sealing off our borders, especially with Mexico and being very, very careful about who and what gets in, I don’t know what is.  But with Hussein and the Dimocraps in charge it will never happen and the drug wars will come in and consume the US just like Mexico, as if we didn’t already have enough problems to contend with what with socialists in charge taxing us to extinction and giving our country away.  The country, and the world, has truly gone to Hell very quickly within the last few years.

House to Consider Auto Aid

By Lori Montgomery and Michael Abramowitz
Washington Post Staff Writers
Wednesday, November 12, 2008; D01

The House will convene next week to vote on a plan to provide emergency cash to the nation’s battered automobile industry, Speaker Nancy Pelosi said yesterday, but a federal bailout for Detroit faces an uphill battle in the Senate and an uncertain fate at the White House.

In a written statement, Pelosi (D-Calif.) said that the failure of one of the car companies “would have a devastating impact on our economy” and that Congress must “provide emergency and limited financial assistance” by adding the industry to the Treasury Department’s $700 billion economic rescue program, which was designed to stabilize the U.S. banking system.

Pelosi did not spell out details of the proposal but designated House Financial Services Committee Chairman Barney Frank (D-Mass.), a key architect of the Treasury program, to work with lawmakers in both chambers to craft the measure. Congressional Democrats — and Michigan Republicans — are pressing to carve $25 billion out of the Treasury program as a bridge loan to help the car companies survive an economic crisis that analysts say has pushed the industry to the brink of collapse.

It was the greedy, corrupt, insatiable unions that drove the US auto industry bankrupt with their unreasonable demands.  Japan does so well because labor costs are astronomically cheaper there than they are here, thanks to the UAW and other assorted goon unions.  It would serve the unions right if their employers go belly up because of the inordinate strain put on them by ridiculous union demands and costs, and they all lose their jobs.  It would be just desserts and poetic justice for biting the hand that feeds them, and feeds them really well, too well in fact.  I would absolutely LOVE to see all the overpaid, underworked, greedy union workers jobless and their union leaders busted and broken.

On the other hand I hold stock in GM that my mom bought when she worked there in the 60’s.  So I would hate to see the company ended and my stock worthless.  It is already pretty near worthless now.

If there is to be a bailout, and I am sure there will be with socialists in charge of DC, I would demand there be considerable union concessions, if not union decertification and disbandment to control future costs.  Otherwise all the bailout does is bailout the unions and not the company.  The company will continue to bleed but the taxpayers will be footing the union bill and paying for their ridiculous benefits and artificially high wages, and my stock will STILL be worthless.  But with the Dimocraps in charge, they will probably give the unions more money and power and take away money and power from the stockholders, thus ensuring themselves more loyal votes while the company goes in the tank with the taxpayers footing the bill.  A bailout will only be temporary fix if the unions and labor costs are not driven down and within only months, if not weeks, the automakers will be on the verge of bankruptcy again and be standing with their hands out for another gift of billions of tax dollars, and the cycle will keep repeating itself ad infinitum.  The only solution is to either break the unions’ power so the companies can get on their feet again or let them go broke and cease operations.  Anything else is a waste of the taxpayers’ money.  But don’t hold your breath waiting for the Dimocraps and turncoat Republicans to do the right thing.  It will never happen.

Anti Prop 8 Mob Swarms Elderly Lady: TV Anchor Proclaims ‘Hate on Both Sides’

NewsBusters

Watch this amazing video of an anti Proposition 8 mob in Palm Springs swarming an elderly woman, ripping a cross out of her hand, and then stomping on it. What is most amazing about this video is the idiotic summation of what happened by KPSP TV anchorman, Kris Long. However before we get to his money quote, let us take a look at a report on this mobbing by LifeSiteNews.Com:

Video footage from KPSP CBS 2 Palm Spring News shows Proposition 8 protesters surrounding an elderly woman and the reporter trying to interview her, shouting and blocking the camera’s view of the woman, ultimately forcing the two to flee from the encircling crowd.

Video and more

And they say WE are full of hate.  Things like this do fill me with hate for them.  I am sorry but it does.  I read a story somewhere where thugs like this have tried to take over a church services in different states and the police did nothing to help.  In cases like this if a straight counter-protestor was to be beaten senseless by the gays they would blame it on the straight person for “instigating hate” or some other BS and the gays would get away with it and be able to walk away without so much as a ticket.  Probably the straight person would be arrested even though they were beaten to a pulp.  And you know very well if there was a fight and a gay was even scratched the straight would be arrested on the spot and probably charged with attempted murder.

I was thinking there might be a civil war in this country between liberal and conservative.  Now I think it might be between rabid, radical gays and straights trying to defend themselves against them.  Of course the ignorant liberals would side with the rabid gays and it would be the same.  Perhaps this gay rights thing will just be the catalyst to start it.

You know 20 years ago this would never have happened, at least not to this scale or level of violence.

Email to KPSP:

I am wondering what kind of fools and idiots do you have working for you there at your station, particularly Kris Long.  Is he total and complete moron or is he mentally handicapped or something?  I am sure you must be aware of his absolutely moronic statement of “hate on both sides” are you not?  If he is not totally brain-dead he must be blind to even think of saying that after watching the same thing I did on the video.  The poor old lady showed nothing but love and class amidst a raging near-riot by radical homosexual activist thugs.  I am surprised she wasn’t beaten senseless by that mob and probably would’ve been if the camera had not been there.  Yet your inept, incompetent anchor had the gall, or the stupidity to say there was hate on both sides?  If he is not the most stupid man on the face of the earth, the only other explanation for his inexcusable defense of the rabid protesting thugs would be that he is either a big time gay himself of else an ultra-left, arch-liberal who unabashedly supports homosexual rights and had the deliberate intention to promote their ugly agenda on the air with his trite, condescending outright lie.  Which is it, is he a moron, a fool, and an idiot, or is he an raving, homosexual lunatic like those abusing and attacking the old lady?

Either way, you need to get rid of his incompetent ass right away so that you are not the laughing stock of the news world with his insipid, ignorant comments.   Fire him right now.  An apology is not enough.  You’re immediate attention to this matter is greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

It’s bailout or bust for struggling GM

08:02 AM CST on Wednesday, November 12, 2008

The New York Times

Just two months after celebrating its centennial, General Motors is facing the grim prognosis that it may not survive to see another year unless it is rescued by a bailout from the federal government.

Shares in GM sank to their lowest point in 65 years, to $2.92, on Tuesday, the day after the company revealed in a federal filing that its “ability to continue as a going concern” is in substantial doubt because it may run out of money by the end of the year.

http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent/dws/classifieds/news/automotive/latestnews/stories/DN-autos_12bus.State.Edition1.a98491.html

The damned, corrupt, greedy UAW and other unions that have bled the US auto industry dry with their insane, unreasonable, and inordinate demands should feel really good about themselves when they have no job anymore because they bit the hand that fed them and drove their own employers bankrupt with their insatiable demands.  Serves them right if the companies all go belly up and they have no job in this economy.  And it will all be their fault because they were the ones who made it impossible for the US to compete with Japan and their astronomically lower labor costs.  Screw the UAW and the unions, they are the ones who ruined GM, Ford, and Chrysler and destroyed their own jobs.  Kind of like job suicide by unionization.

Of course the liberals and socialists in Congress will bail them out with our tax dollars so the greedy unions can continue to bleed even more money out of the companies and second hand out of the tax payers of the US.  Thank you very much, you damned unions for screwing up my stocks and taking my tax money to boot.  IF there is a bailout for the auto industry it had better come with huge curbs on union costs and benefits to the newly nationalized automakers.  But with the Dimocraps in power, they will probably give the unions more money and power and blame the management when it is obvious it was the unions that drove the companies under.
